Villains and Rogues now have access to two distinct badges named "Praetoria's Bane". One corresponds to the badge "Statesman's Pal" that is available to Heroes and Vigilantes. The other corresponds to the badge "Positron's Pal" that is also available to Heroes and Vigilantes.
Since these two badges have the same name, Sentinel and CIT cannot distinguish between them. We have thus temporarily deactivated both badges to prevent people from getting credit for both when they only have one of them.
Individuals who verified Statesman's Pal prior to May 31 will still show that they have it when we later re-activate it. However, I have deleted the records for any verifications recorded since Issue 23 was released for either badge, since we cannot be sure they were valid. (This only affected 9 characters.)
We are exploring ways to cope with this issue but do not yet have an ETA for a fix. In the mean time, we apologize for the inconvenience.

For the record, Sentinel can differentiate just fine, and we are looking into updating CIT to accommodate. Doing so will require a Sentinel software update as well to use the new routine.

We've updated the webservice to no longer verify badges when there is an ambiguity. So this is partially resolved:
- I've activated both of these badges, so characters that had Statesman's Pal verified prior to Issue 23 will once again see it in their total.
- Players can now verify the badges using their blue-side names, Statesman's Pal and Positron's Pal.
- Players still cannot verify the badges using their red-side names, Praetoria's Bane. The devs have a fix in the works to rename the Positron badge to Positron's Nemesis; once that goes live, both badges will verify again.

Today's patch fixed this by renaming the redside version of Positron's Pal to Positron's Nemesis. I've updated CIT with the new data, so all characters should be able to properly verify both badges now.
