The current plan is to release Paragon Chat on the evening of 7/7 for the US, Canada, and Central/South America (1AM UTC on the 8th).
If you are planning on participating in the launch, it is CRITICAL that you ensure your Titan account is linked up and has a valid username for Paragon Chat prior to the 7th. You can check it on your account management page here:

There are a few glitches in the account rename procedure that we don't anticipate will be possible to fix before 7th, but don't want to delay another week as the person who has to manually fix things when it goes wrong will be traveling and unavailable until 7/14. Due to that and to the anticipated large number of people logging in, we are planning to disable the account rename feature the day of the launch, and leave it off for the first week to ensure server stability.
That means if you wait until the last minute and find that your username has characters that are not valid for Paragon Chat, you will be unable to rename your account (and thus unable to log into PC) until 7/14.
That's why it is so important that you check your account management page NOW and verify that Paragon Chat shows a green light and is using the name you want.

It was released 15 years ago for the rest of the world, but they misplaced it. They don't get another chance until they apologize for being careless.
Slightly more seriously, I think the Alaskans might see the release even earlier, in the afternoon of the 7th. So that would be the place to go to get it.

What about for Europe?
The same time, but most of Europe will be asleep. We thought it would be better to have the developers awake at the time of the launch in case something goes wrong and needs a last-minute emergency fix.

All I can say is you BETTER not be late with your wholly voluntary gift to the community that has involved vast amounts of your time and effort for no compensation...

While being at the opening is fun and all there is no benifit to being the first through the gate.
this is not WOW there is not a bunch of realm first achievments.
The hope is Paragon chat will be around for a very long time so if your buzy don't sweat it just relax and we will be waiting for you in atlas or the D when you finish up with work and or sleep.
Oh yeah and *Kisses the Paragon Chat Dev's feet for bringing us this wonderful thing*

I must humbly thank all of you involved in the creation of Paragon Chat. Although in a limited fashion, you are making it possible for all of us to return home.

Just checked...my account's linked, and I have Icon on my desktop, despite not having touched it in months...I'm rather confused about this, so I need to ask, will I need to have anything else for when this takes off?

Did some extra reading, and forgot I'd deleted Tequila...re-downloaded it...; so once I hear PC is live, just keep restarting Tequila until the Paragon Chat option turns up?

Not like once per second or anything, but basically yes. Once its announced, you should need to do that just once.

I've got good news and bad news.
The bad news is that we weren't quite able to finish all of the features and bugfixes on my to-do list, so it won't be possible to release Paragon Chat 1.0 on schedule.
The good news is that what is done so far, while I'm not 100% happy with it, is usable enough for some stress testing so long as you know the caveats. We'll be releasing Paragon Chat 0.95 Beta today, around the time indicated in the original post.
Over the next two weeks I'd expect to see a rapid-fire sequence of updates to hopefully complete what was on the original release goal list.

Dropbox has a 250GB per day limit on public folders from paid accounts. More or less, just 50 people trying to download the I24 client in one day will blow the limit. Leandro mentioned this as the reason why he started dropping hints for people to update sooner rather than later.

Howdy Titanites!
As you may or may not have noticed, the forums have gone through a thorough changeup. We've moved things around, retired some things, added some things, and just generally made a nuisance of ourselves. We hadn't had a good cleanup since before the game closed, so it was long overdue! If you can't find something, speak up and someone will show you the way. Even stuff that has been hidden is still available to mods and admins, so we can go digging for a favorite thread if you like and bring it back into the light.
PLEASE NOTE: as a side-effect of retiring forums, you may notice that post counts went down, or there are missing pieces in posting histories. Posts that are affected by the retired forums are no longer counted in either process. If you're looking for a specific post or thread, feel free to PM me or Eabrace and we can bring it back for you.

It may be in the wrong spot, but mine is in NCSoft (boo that name) City of Heroes folder, when I run PC it says that I can only run it from inside a version with a complete copy, mine is a complete copy, or maybe I don't have it in the wright spot or I24 client?

Put Tequila and Paragon Chat in the same folder that has cityofheroes.exe.

I know I'm incredibly late to this party, but do I still need to have CoH installed on my computer to get this to work right? I've rebuilt my system since the "vanishing," and didn't transfer any of my CoH stuff to the new PC. I'm waiting on Tequila to download now, so I thought I'd ask. Looking forward to seeing some familiar sights, right before having to shut down my computer to move.

Yes. Paragon Chat is just an XMPP program. It utilizes the City client for visuals.
