FWIW this falls pretty firmly under parody/fair use. If this name was used it would be in more risk of getting flak from Jabber people than NCSOFT.

No, because it's completely separate from Icon and I don't want to confuse the two. There may be some surface similarity, but they are based on completely different methods of operation.
I also don't want to rule out the possibility of a future Icon 2.0 that does different but still completely offline things.

:D Hay there codewalker, thanks for all the cool things you have been doing for the community! I know I can't code for beans but I do know my graphics pretty well despite the off center joke at the top of the thread so please let me know if there is anything I could do to help.

I've already taken to calling it City of XMPP, or CoXMPP for short, until an official name arrives. Reminds me of calling the game "CoX" in the first place.

Depending on how long it takes to announce the name and when it launches, you may be stuck with Soon. You may name it, but whatever sticks is what people will call it. Remember Plan Z? That was a casual reference to where a fan built MMORPG would be in the list of attempts to save CoH and yet it got a life of its own.

No. It's not the working title. There is no (public) working title. Soon is the timeline for which Codewalker, et al, will release more information on it.

yeah, BTW, I'm only joking around about the name. I had absolutely nothing to do with any of it.
Although, I am a developer, I work in IT, yeah CRUD apps for office-trolls entering data into databases. But it keeps my ISP & electric bills paid, so can't complain.

They had to use the shortened form to conserve space and make the titles look nice. If you dig into the documentation, SFD is everywhere.
