Title: Warped One- Tri-Form Adaptive Carnage buiild
Post by: Waffles on February 12, 2015, 07:14:15 PM
"What can you tell me about Warshades?"

"We are the best Archetype in the game."

"...Why are we the b-"

"Don't. EVER. QUESTION ME. AGAIN!"

..."Anyway, we're awesome because we can adapt to virtually any situation, we are the only A.T that can shapeshift, and have the absolute most slotting variety, due to how tri-forms work. Once you get clarion, and spiritual core, you will essentially have no weaknesses, and will become a god once you acquire perma eclipse. That, and the two-to-three fluffballs blasting away while I murder rooms, plus, since all we really need is recharge, and we have a huge variety of abilities, we're really easy to afford IOs for."

"Is that ever-"

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO QUESTION ME!" *Stab*

...*Ahem*

Oh hi there, totally didn't...Uhm *Scoots body under a throw-rug* Didn't hear you come in. Have a seat, but don't sit down.

---

Originally, the build had a 5-set apocalypse on the dwarf mire, with the -res proc from the gladiator set, but I doubt PVP recipes will be in the realm of ease to get for me, come potential relaunch.

This build can adapt to any situation, has perma hasten, and perma-eclipse, and can maintain three extracted essences at a time <2 without spiritual core,  barely 4 with speed boost.> The purples are not even neccesary, as the sets can be easily replaced with the cheaper counterparts, if you are on a tight budget, you'd lose about, eh, 15-20% recharge by replacing the purples with cheaper sets, the effect this would have would be minimal, with some slotting adjustments.

things that can stun you will prove annoying without Clarion, as you'll have to sit in dwarf form to mitigate that, giving you the boring <But effective> dwarf mire spam as a damage rotation.

The more bodies, living or dead, that you fight with this at a time, the more powerful, and unkillable it gets.

Rock on, brother shade  8)  I would want some slots in the other dwarf attacks if you plan on using it. If it's just a buff platform, then it's fine. I put some kinetic combats in mine for some s/l resistance. Helps in incarnate stuff.

I really wanted to, but for playstyle, and room reasons, I just couldn't without sacrificing anything.

I generally only hop in dwarf form for one of two reasons.

1: I've been CCed and don't have clarion for whatever reason (Or it was broken through)

2: I'm stacking mires like a maniac for buffs and AOE damage.

Kinetic combats would be my prime choice if I was running a defensive orientated build, rather than a berserker type recharge build, great defense from those, unfortunately, stacking those would do little without overhauling the build with a defense cap in mind.

The problem with that, is you trade survivability for the ability to do really crazy crap, like triple pets, and a nuke every mob, double-eclipse/mire and such.

Mire stacking tends to deal with the damage missing from slotting the dwarf attacks. If the game goes online, the more I play, the more i'll probably be able to estimate what to change, but that's a hell of a wait, sadly :c

True, you might have to trade a little recharge or focus on some other powers if you shift to that focus. You can still do triple pets, but you could lose a few seconds off of a quadruple pet as opposed to this build. I think you could possibly do both, but it does really depend on what you want. Personally, I want all the recharge I can for the pets, but for everything else I'm ok with a small amount of overlap to keep me buffed (I don't care for unchain essence, so I don't need it there). I assume you are taking Spiritual Core into account here as well.

Correct, I just like the recharge build though, if I need defense, I can pop an insp, unless i'm doing like, a build challenge or something, plus, when the game relaunches, recharge will be infinitely easier to build for than defense.

EDIT: If i'm running group content, i'm probably going to be buffed so much, that I won't need the defense. To me, the softcap is not neccesarily mandatory for a warshade to solo max level stuff, with the wide array of Crowd control, and mitigation they have access to. Archvillains pose a -slight- problem, in that you would need to gather a swarm to eclipse off-of to be able to burn it down. This is less of a defense issue, though, and more of how a Warshade works - You need to siphon off as many dudes as possible. Dead to reset the fight, and alive to keep your pain going.
