Title: Winter 2014 map for Titan Icon
Post by: Leandro on December 05, 2014, 05:25:05 PM
Want to make some new COH videos or greeting cards for the holidays, but don't want to use the Ski Chalet as your location again? Tim The Enchanter has put together a new map that you can use in Titan Icon. Here's a preview of what it looks like:

In order to use it in Icon, download the following file and extract it under your data/ folder (mirrors would be appreciated!)

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/37952257/winter2014.zip

If you did it correctly, the maps/ folder will be under data/. If you have a folder called winter2014 instead, you did it wrong; you need the folders maps, scenes and texture_library under data.

After extracting the file, open Titan Icon, hit the F1 key, and enter the map name maps/rp/winter/winter.txt to be teleported into it.

Happy Winter 2014!

We're going to have details about it soon. Maybe not before the end of the year, but shortly after. Hang in there, good news are coming.

Awesome, and just in time as I was thinking of making another xmas card using Icon.

And having just watched Frozen for the first time and creating an "ice princess" costume for one of my characters, this map will be great.

Thanks, and best wishes to all for the holidays!

Very nice. I still bring up Icon for my 5 year old to play around in. I can tell already he is going to have a blast with this. :)

I can see where it should be saved, but when I click on the link, it doesn't save there.  I must be missing a step somehow.

Could you elaborate, possibly?

Are you doing Right click -> Save as?

I just woke up, so go with me here..

I finally sorted it out, and oh my freakin' gosh, how gorgeous!  Enchanter Tim, thank you for such a fantastic Christmas gift, and when CoH 1.5 is up and running, please say this will be one of the seasonal maps!  *Claps hands in glee*

Off to take some Nyghtshade "Christmas Card" screenies.   :D

Could someone give me last year's map-code-string for the "Winter in Atlas Park" settings?  Thanks.

ALSO:  I can't seem to find the new screenshots I'm taking in this map.  I have all the old screenshots, but the new ones aren't showing up.  Any suggestions?

I'm sure someone will be able to help you find the directory they're being saved to, but in the mean time, you can always just hit "print screen", and then open a program like Paint and paste the shot in there. Save it, and you're done!

Edit: The closest thing I could find to help was this thread: http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php/topic,9607.msg142171.html#msg142171

One of the instructions about titan Icon has to do with where to install it, and the fact that it might cause issues if you install this in "Program Files"

I installed mine into c:/titanIcon, and it works fine for me (Win7 home premium 64-bit)

screen shots show up in c:/titanIcon/tequila/screenshots

I apologize for never returning to help, Nyght-shade.

I got caught up with some things IRL.

And if you guys haven't already, while in the map, look up.

Healix, would it be possible to have permission (with credit to you, of course) to link this to our FB pages as a Christmas greeting to other CoH'ers there?

Thanks to Tim the Enchanter for making the map and Leandro for making us aware of it. (And Nyght for telling me about it!) It's super delightfully festive.

I missed the boat on posting your Season's Greeting adaptation, Healix, but I was able to finally make screenshots of Nyght in Tim's Winter Map, so was able to post that.

And I put yours up as my desktop background on both our computers for Christmas Eve through Christmas Day, so we were very festive!  :)

I didn't see any mistletoe, though.  I think it hanging from the the center of the gazebo would be a good place for it.

Tim / Leandro, is there any way this can be imported into the new Paragon Chat program, so that we can celebrate the Holidays in style?
