I've enjoyed what work of hers I've read. This article/obit doesn't list any charitable organizations that she favored; I know we like those, here. Perhaps that will come out in the following days, as more is written, but cancer research charities would be a safe bet.
I began reading the Star Trek novels in the late 70s through the early to mid-80s.
To a large degree, I think that those novels played a large role in keeping Star Trek alive, and the authors were able to do things in those novels that would never be permitted by Paramount today ... or even in the 80s once ST:TNG came out.
Some of those novels were great. Some .... not so much.
AC Crispin's books were some of the best written about Classic Trek.
I am sorry to hear of her passing. :-\
Another of my favorites.
RIP, and thank you.
Can't say I read any of her works but it's sad in any case. :'(
I'm was a Next Gen ST novel reader.

I heartily agree. I always looked forward to seeing a new AC Crispin
Star Trek novel, and read all of those books religiously up until the sequence got somewhere into the 70s or 80s.
I own enough books to only fill half a shelf, and 3 of them are the Han Solo Trilogy. She affected my life.
I was going through my boxes of old paperbacks this summer and pulled out the volumes I have from the Starbridge series, thinking that my 11 year old is probably ready for them. I'll probably bump them up on his reading list, as well as hitting book stores for the ones I don't have.
What a shame, she was so talented, I really liked yesterday's son and time for yesterday, among others. There weren't a lot of great female role models when I was a kid but I always found people like D.C. Fontana and A.C. Crispin inspiring each was something of a pioneer in their own way. To me the name A.C. Crispin always ment quality in a media tie-in novel and she elevated fan writing to the next level with well thought out and well written stories. I have read Yesterday's son/time for yesterday so many times my copies are tattered. I know I love both Star Trek and Time travel but its such an enjoyable story. I've read some other things by her over the years but I'm sad that it is her death that has made me aware of others. RIP, your words will live on.
