So I'd been doing the Unity Missions lately (I hadn't really done them that much before) because I want to do the "Cazulon Vs. Miniature Hero" mission. (Sounds like a hoot!) Anyway, I saw a guy with a pretty awesome pair of wings and I asked him where he got them, and he said they were Silver Champions Gear...
Guess what I'm going to be getting now instead of Gear for a while? :D
Lately I'd picked up a few other costume pieces from the other Recognition Vendors as well.
So many costume pieces, so little time... ;D
There is good Silver Champion gear too if you haven't noticed yet. It's level 40 required is the only thing. By running custom alerts with my guys as they were leveling (gives 2 silver champs per run), they all were able to get at least 1 piece of uberish primary gear when they dinged 40. Unity missions are good for silver champs too of course but I think they are level 40 required?
I never got why costume pieces were such a big deal in CO. I mean, they kinda are, aren't they? Costume pieces?? When I first started playing and I saw *all* those auctions, and for such high prices, for COSTUME pieces.. And it just so happened not much else was being auctioned whenever I noticed, too.. I was like "where's the Real loot??" "Awww man, this is gonna suck : /"
Then I won a Malvan back shield and by trading it (the second one) was able to buy the exact thing I wanted to buy if I had all the G in the world. It looks cool, too, people ask where I got it every time I log Xev on. Costume pieces are excellent trading material as well as adding to the ol' wardrobe.
I'm kinda getting into the spirit otherwise, too. Very interested to see how Hi-Pan's hat looks, for example..hehe. Just won it and couldn't bring myself to sell it. I mean, Hi-Pan's hat!? Can't give that away. I've got no one it will look good on, but still...
