I think I miss this game a lot more than I sometimes realize, because I've never had a dream about a video game quite like the one I had about CoH.
Several weeks ago I had a dream that I was playing the game, though it looked more like I was actually inside the game. Someone had discovered a secret server that was still online and figured out a way to connect to it. It was a brand new zone, never seen before. I distinctly remember seeing the war walls, haha.
I don't know how, but I was able to import my level 50 bots/traps mastermind Cyborg Systre (decked out in +5 purple and pvp IO sets; that took me a while to complete!), and I was quickly dispatching large groups of these new foes that kept coming at me. It was wonderful.
Everyone was chatting with everyone else about how excited we all were that we found this server that was still online. And then I woke up. Bleah.
this has given me a great chance to study the human brain and the development of dreams.
indeed you're not allone, many have recently begun having dreams of paragon, I must say for me it's better than my normal dreams sometimes (ALIEN, no I'm not a big fan or anything, it's just odd.. it's like a competition between my conscious mind (human) and my subconscious (alien))
anyways back onto the topic, it seems that indeed CoH has left such an impression on us due to it's overwhelming and unparalleled quality that we crave it like a necessity, leave that craving alone for long enough and of coarse your mind will rebel.
thats what's happening, our minds are starting to Rebel. our minds are sick of waiting they criticize us for moving so slow. "you damned humans can't just do things can you someone always has to call the shots and be stubborn don't they?"
thats what I gather as the messagee here, the subconscious mind understands that we can have such people in charge and owners of concepts, but it doesn't understand why we would be so foolish.
chances are you'll have more CoH dreams, they will start to grow on you, at least one a month.
I had a dream several months ago that I logged in to see if I could get into the game and found out a secret server had been activated.
I went in and flew around and kick some baddies around until I came upon this old factory building. It was NEW! wow, something I had not
seen before. I and all the other heroes fought the baddies coming out of the old factory. It reminded me of an old saw mill / storage warehouse.
I called my SG friends and the ones I got in touch with logged on and we played. Its odd a game can make such an impact on one's psyche.

I had something similar. I dreamed I logged in as usual and suddenly I was on a TF with 7 other people! In the dream I think I just decided to try it on a whim and suddenly I was logged in.
Yeah. I had a dream like that as well, was flying about paragon city, soloing with a blaster of some sort with ice powers, raining icy hell down on a new enemy group of some description. I miss CoH. ;_;
