Title: Taking screen shots in Character Creator
Post by: Crazyleo on May 09, 2013, 10:13:05 PM
I was just wondering if it's possible to take screen shots from within the character creator. Mainly because I want to share what goals I had with a group of friends (online) and the inspirations behind my characters before the big shut down.

Yes. Take the screenshot and use an image program to paste into. Photoshop, Irfanview, GIMP, even the generic Paint that comes with Windows will work.

If you use the Character Creator in full screen, you will most likely need to switch to Windowed Mode.

Slight issue with the full screen mode.

If you want to get really fancy with it Leo created a script that turns a costume file to a .char file so if you make something great using icon you can save it then run the script to turn it into a character file and place that character into a demo.

That's a bit much actually. My system won't be able to handle that.

(It barely runs the creator as it is)

Do you know where that converter is, offhand? I've been digging around and I can't find it. Probably right under my nose, haha.

Icon's NPC Mode is great for seeing how characters look with different emotes, but ...

Don't know if Vista has it...but Windows 7 has a snipping tool that I use in Icon...I then load the pic into Photoshop for cleaning.
