Title: Another chance to show off our community!
Post by: dwturducken on May 07, 2013, 02:51:43 PM
Massively is running another poll, this time for user-generated content toolsets. At only 600 votes (ATM), NW's Foundry is in the lead, but we're (Architect) in third! Time to show our stuff, folks!

(Sorry for the duplicate post, but I don't know how many people are still looking at multiple forums.)

Here's my post (http://fyre.it/kG8mIN.4):

Neverwinter's Foundry may objectively be the most technically refined UGC creator on the market.

So why did I pick the City of Heroes Mission Architect as my favorite?

Because with the Mission Architect, you could send your audience to any style of dimension, world, habitat or plane of existence. From medieval adventures to modern mysteries to tech maps written as the insides of star ships adrift in the cosmos, the Mission Architect could take you there. From 1930s gangsters to 2030s cyberpunks, Mission Architect had the tools to build any type of NPC you desired. No other UGC tool out there is capable of the same breadth and width of adventures.

NW's Foundry is a great tool in the pinch I'm in as a CoH player, but now you know why the Mission Architect is still my favorite UGC tool; and likely will be for a long time, as long as modern MMOs continue to stick you in a genre and tell you what style of world you're allowed to design.

Posted my preference for COH AE.  Thanks to the OP for the heads-up.

I still have a post-it note of my AE titles, their final rankings, and final star ratings on my desk.  Of course I voted for the AE!

Fox Hunt: 28 total, 4 stars
Hammer and Sickle of Paragon City: 253 total, 4 stars
PENGUIN Part 2: Waddle's Revenge: 72 total, 4 stars
City of Ho Ho Ho: 134 total, 4 stars
PENGUIN: 209 total, 4 stars
This Costume Contest Sponsored by Tubbius: 15 total, 5 stars
PENGUIN Part 3: Waddle to the Big Top: 38 total, 4 stars

And, probably the final arc ever in the system, published at 8 p.m. the night the servers went down:

PENGUIN Part 4: Waddle On: 6 total, 5 stars.

I miss my Waddle the Penguin.  :(

Same here:( I just saw this today I got over there and can't vote anymore.  Looks like the same thing happened to Cobra Man as well, judging by his comment.

I'd still say we made a good go of it. We stayed in third, but we came pretty close to second. Not bad for a "dead" game.
