It's $16 grand and they will only sell it to educational institutions.

The Lo Pan has his own parody? Didn't know Lo Pan was that famous. But who is the old guy in the wheelchair. Although also I was wondering what does the guy that looks like he is driving some sort of truck have to do with anything...wait never mind he's supposed to be Burt Jackson although I thought that mission had more to do with Viper but I guess a parody dont have to make sense much to be funny.

*Ahem*

The guy in the wheel chair was suppose to be the old decrepit version of Lo Pan(there were two versions of him in the movie). And it's Jack Burton, not Burt Jackson...

Big Trouble in Little China is one of my favorite cheesy movies of all time. Definitely a classic.

Anyways, carry on...

Pretty sure it's Burt Jackson in the game, the one I was talking about and thought it might have been refering to.

But it's a movie? Well dang, I thought it was a parody of Champions Online. Heard about Big Trouble in Little China existance but never seen anything from it.

So Lo Pan from that said movie looks like Lo Pan of Champions Online? Interesting.

Another parody over my head.

The Champions Online Lo Pan might have been a reference to Big Trouble in Little China's Lo Pan(not 100% sure on that, since I'm not that familiar with Champions' characters or history).

If you can find the movie somewhere, it's worth a watch. Cheesy as heck in many parts(as many gems from the 80s were), but that's part of the fun(It is a comedy, after all).

I also didn't know that CO referenced the movie.

Well it makes sense.  It is a cult classic.  There was a references to BTLC in CoH as well, "Black Blood of the Earth".

Edit: Just looked it up, Hi Pan in CO with a color pallet shift from green to red.

Ah, must be why the confusion over Burt Jackson/Jack Burton; Devs playing with the names to make the references without getting sued for copyright issues. :P

Edit: But yeah, I remember the "Black Blood of the Earth" salvage. I always enjoyed the Easter Eggs and subtle movie references(and some not so subtle, which is just "Inconceivable!"...) that the devs would slip into CoH every now and then. Always gave me a chuckle. ;D

One of the guys in my Friday night group is a professor at a land grant university! Unfortunately, he's a professor of medieval history...
