Hey what ever happened to that movie idea that been circulating a bit and then off the radar around aug 2007?
Is it stuck in developmental hell, or abandoned by the producer Tom DeSanto?

Here is the cold hard truth about movie options.
Properties are optioned
all the time. "Development" "starts" when someone says "we've optioned this property."
95% of the properties optioned are never actually produced.
Movie options generally run for 5 years. I'm guessing that, since the option ran out in August of 2012, and we know what happened then, City was never re-optioned.
So now if we feel like being weird we can blame the movie option running out for NCSoft no longer caring about the game and deciding to drop it?

makes sense
No joke - I actually tried to contact Tom LaSanto (who got the movie rights) to see if I could buy them from him. No luck. :(
