Title: Inspirational
Post by: P51mus on February 11, 2013, 09:28:40 PM
Been catching up on one piece, I think this clip pretty much sums up why we fight. (http://youtu.be/LlmG9HBnrMg)

"While there is Life, there is Hope" attributed to Marcus Tullius Cicero.  (Tho silly me I had attributed that to Dejah Thoris from the Edgar Rice Burrough's Barsoom novels i read in my youth.)

One Piece.

That clip is pretty mild on the strangeness meter too.

Granted, the most relevant quote doesn't happen until 23 seconds in the clip.

"Miracles only occur for those with the determination to never stop trying!"

Just kidding. But yeah, YouTube needs a "not interested, stop bugging me about this kind of stuff" button.

Sympathies, Xieveral; i mean who wants reminders that Friendship is Magical; sheesh, who is tuning the Dark City social Matrix machine these days? I thought the ST:TNG 'Borg would be more intelligent by now; maybe they haven't eaten enough, eh?  ;-)

These were each fairly kewl, thanks.  I was in a 70's mood and surfed into this for insp the other day.  "Age of Aquarius" from the musical Hair  the artwork and other images from this first link are (imo) very vanilla flavored tho colorful and reminds me very much of the mid 1970s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0G8XJNz4bY

Consequently the Kewler Hip Kids might prefer this version visually:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EegRh8Z4H-o

hey Quinch, yeah i herd the Voice by the Moody Blues (pun on heard) and other so-called hippie music in youth; here's one i like if it isn't too "hippie dippy" for modern sensibilities:  The Youngbloods from back in the Day:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4fWN6VvgKQ

Don't feel bad on the YouTube recommendations. I was researching a *ahem* women's health issue for my wife, and one of the results was a physician giving a short presentation on video. Now, I did watch the video, and it was informative but not really helpful, but I did "up-vote" it. Now, I get recommendations for some decidedly un-medical videos related to *ahem* that area.

I kinda hate YouTube, now, and I haven't clicked a YouTube link posted here or anywhere for about a week. :)

I like music from the 50's and 60's...and 70's...and 80's...and even the 90's and 2000's.

I guess I should just say that I like most music. :)

I couldn't see the second video because I don't have a Youtube account. I don't plan on getting one either.

Thanks for the links though. :)

i dont usually go to youtube very often either, the only times i actually go to youtube are to watch the occasional epic rap battles of history but i dont have an actual youtube account (its technically linked to my gmail, but i am there so little and to only watch very specific things, i never check for "recommended" stuff anyway lol)
