Title: Select scans from the CoV Collector's Edition artbook
Post by: SeaLily on December 23, 2012, 06:06:27 AM
Check them out here. (http://imgur.com/a/tNIYZ)

I didn't scan everything, since the majority of the book is just renders you've seen everywhere before.  What I grabbed were things that stuck out to me, which mostly was unused early concept designs or cool art bits that looked better here than in-game.

The original Back Alley Brawler still is kind of funny looking.  I really like the unused Ghost Widow design's hands though.

It's been a long time since anyone who actually bought this probably looked through it, and I imagine a pretty significant number of players haven't ever gotten a chance to check the art book out.  If you want it yourself, you can find copies of the CoV CE for like $10 on amazon or elsewhere.  They also come with a bunch of Freedom Phalanx and Arachnos Heroclix, which are pretty cool.  And a starter deck for the CoH cardgame that flopped pretty horribly.

My fiancee has the Brady Games guides to CoH and CoV, the ones in binders that were designed so that when new issues came out you could replace the pages with updated information (which you, of course, had to pay for).

Needless to say, she did that a whole one time and it was a PITA.

I'll see if I can task her with scanning 'em for a real blast from the past.

I have the CoV and CoH Official Prima eGuides in PDF form.

CoV Guide: 422 Pages
CoH Guide: 338 Pages

I'm not sure if I should just post them here publically, though...

Is it *legal*, though?

Prima copyright and all that.

At the bottom of every page, it says "not to distribute"

:P

Put it encrypted in a zip and selectively give the password. That's called private sharing, not distibution.
