Title: Zloth's demo editor is borderline unusable - alternatives for movement/rotation?
Post by: TimtheEnchanter on December 12, 2012, 07:12:23 AM
Alright, well I finally got the patience to try and figure this thing out, and... after a few hours of experimentation, discovered some awful things.

First, Y and Z are backwards when entering coordinates. While I can compensate for that, one thing I can't compensate for is the PYR disaster. It seems that there is no way to give it demo PYR numbers and have them come out as such. Seems no matter what I choose for the format, it changes the values to something bizarre.

So what this all means is, I currently have no way to set up movement correctly.

Suggestions?

The way I got around it for the circle-pan shot of Jo under Atlas was to get the initial PYR angle I wanted, and then let the demo editor do whatever the hell it wanted when it created the circle shot. Then I just opened the result demo file and search/replaced its PYR value with the one I wanted. Voila, problem solved.
