In the spirit of "show, don't tell", I'm putting up a series of YouTube clips to showcase the CoH costume customization abilities - because let's be honest, it does need to be seen to believed. With that in mind, I'm looking for any and all demo files which I can scrape for costumes. Currently I'm clocking around fifteen hundred, although I'm guessing may be two percent of those are duplicates and maybe two more of glitched costume data, but I'm still looking for more. Oh, and any recommendations for appropriately heroic music would be good too - I'm planning to use the character creation music for the start of each showcase, but the length falls short. The first clip is here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzCKw-qqSaQ) - and I'm open to improvements.
For music themes, I'd throw in The Last Starfighter (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSf5tx4e_PA) and Overture from The Black Hole (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SdLbbvxlxU).
Paragon Wiki links off to pretty much all of the music in the game. Atlas Park's main plaza comes to mind, although I'd probably stay out of Blyde Square's bow-chick-a-bow-wow action. :)

For the second time? (I'm pretty sure that was you with the Darkman reference the other day.)
Ayup. Keep em coming!
Okay... as for music? I have a... QUIRKY... idea...
Buckaroo Banzai - Across The Eighth Dimension - The End Credits Music
http://youtu.be/2CsZBWDixUM (http://youtu.be/2CsZBWDixUM)
Now LISTEN to that!!!!
The peppy beat is infectious and you can set numerous "Build" sequences to it or just many many MANY characters flashing by!
And then at the "Change Up" at about the 3 minute 5 second mark, you segue from those sequences to showcase some more majestic efforts or show many of the characters all lined up together on the Atlas Park Steps!
C'mon! You know it would work! :D
Alternatively, for a more traditional "heroic" bit of music - how about - Rob Dougan's "Will You Follow Me" Instrumental?

If you could make a video of all FLYING characters and have each one zipping through the buildings of Steel Canyon of flying low over the waters of Talos Island or Nerva Archipelago, how about -
The Airwolf TV theme?
This is an extended cut -

I'm kinda biased towards this song, but if you don't mind spending a little (hey, it's not $1000's in royalties): http://audiojungle.net/item/massively-massive/276674?sso?WT.ac=search_item&WT.seg_1=search_item&WT.z_author=pinkzebra

At least one per character involves transition between all costumes I've come up for them. Some teamups are included too.

So, all you really need is an AP33 demo file?
Okay, the second batch is uploaded - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UgTbCKFKUA . Third should be up within the next few hours.
Also, I had absolutely no idea Going Rogue came out with this many awesome tracks... I don't think I'll need to add outside ones at all. Thanks for all the submissions, though, if nothing else, it's great listening material.

Not all I need, but it would be a very nice addition.
I have a really long one. I'll look for it and post it.
I've opened up a public share on my cloud provider (hence the Spider Oak advertisement at the top of the page). With luck, you can download the demo file contained within the folder. Check:
https://spideroak.com/browse/share/COX_DEMOS/2000
A post that it works would be greatly appreciated.
This demo, protest.cohdemo, is filmed from the perspective of a character I created for the occasion -- "The Protester". I don't believe it starts in AP33 but it may end there. It still hurts to watch these files and I have to fight to keep my hand off the mouse to 'look around'.

When the demo launches, you can hit F2 and move the viewpoint around by using WASD and the mouse. So you can still "look around."

Will do {the download link checks out} - I need to run to work now, though. Also, the perspective doesn't matter - I'm just scraping the costume data from them.
Ah... I thought the F2 function stopped the playback while you moved around. I'm very pleased to see it keeps going.
Now that I know the share works, I'm going to through in a double drop ship take down and a short tour of the Cryptic Lounge in Faultline.

F2 just decouples the camera from your toon.
If you want to stop the action while you move the camera, you can hit the "P" key to pause or unpause.

And now I've learned something new tonight.
(Seems like maybe I knew this once upon a time, but I forgot long ago.)
Original City of Heroes theme, rearranged by a fan.
http://youtu.be/6hKPWrX85U8
Check the full description and grab his mediafire share containing it. It has a number of other remixes, all of them awesome (hums to that particular remix of the Transformers theme)
Ah yes - Ominous Voice. He does great work.
If you'll check the final version of the "3300 Heroes in Atlas" video that Leandro put together, you'll notice that he used OV's version of the City of Heroes theme.
I'd love to see the sci-fi/tech themed flyers flying through the Cityscape and beyond (moon map available for shoots?) to the remix of Major Tom (Coming Home) by Shiny Toy Guns. I can see it clearly, but my technical abilities on this front are more than a bit lacking...
A good choice, although for my money nothing tops the original version by Peter Schilling.
I think this is a nice idea.
But in my opinion the video is way to long even for someone who is common with the game.
Maybe 5min episodes would be better.
Letting the chars spin makes sense, because you can see the costumes from all sides, but it also takes a lot of time and patience to watch.
I want to make a video with all my Costumes (about 400-500) lined up somewhere in Paragon. But i won´t have time to do it in the next weeks.
Maybe you should do it this way? It would definitely get people to see a wider variety of costumes in a shorter time.
If people want to take a longer look, they can still stop the video.

Thanks for this! For some reason, I hadn't found that, and had to keep opening the console.
Edit: It isn't on the Wiki's page, which explains why I hadn't seen it.
A few posts back I had a link to a drop ship take down demo file.
I had captured the action with FRAPS -- 17 gigabytes for 5 minutes of action.
It took all night but it did upload to YouTube.

This is probably only interesting to those that were there but you never know.
