Thinkgeek has released a USB Squirming Tentacle (http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/ede3/). With a little work, you could reshape a multi-port USB hub to arrange them in a rough circle, use some modeling putty to create a head, paint them all appropriately, and have your own little Lusca on your desk (video link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jFbu4hTZsAQ)):

Thinkgeek is awesome. All of our stocking stuffers are from them.
If that thing had storage I'd have like, six.

If they weren't $25 each I'd have at least 1.
Edit: eh. nevermind.

Practical? Hell, no. Funny? Hell, yes. I saw an article with an animated GIF of the tentacle, and my first thought was "Lusca looks awful sick, there... And how did he get stuck in the computer?"

Totally. And I confess -- I'm one of those people with the little USB humping dogs. I was quite excited about the prospect of storing my copy of the Complete HP Lovecraft on this and then taking it to the library with me.
And here I was looking for something different to put in the manger this year. :P
