Stage Two is YOU!
We'll tell you on Monday!
Imagine a Ghoul, kept behind bars.
Now imagine a nice, tasty carcass being laid down outside those bars, just out of arm's reach.
Imagine that ghoul's reaction.
That's me right now.

Sort of glad I'm not sharing a cell with you, lol.
So, VV, what do you accept as bribes? I got pumpkin pie, Reese's muffins, chocolate chip cookies, not to mention turkey, ham, yams...
I'm super excited for Monday right now, I can't wait to hear what it is and contribute anyway I can.
For now, just keep spreading the word. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your globals, tell strangers off the street - the more people that are keeping their eyes open, the better our chances of success.
I'm ready and waiting - as usual :P
You know, I just had the oddest mental flash of something to do with Monday night football...
nah...
<<salute>> Awaiting further instructions...
By the way, is stage 2 going to be before or after December 1st?
Just say the word, ma'am.

So what was Stage One?

That's been me since I heard they were working on something, like a week ago.
When I read "Wildcard", I think of the Yesman ending questline for Fallout: New Vegas. Ignoring the powers that be, and taking Hover Dam for yourself.... And then I feel like the Ghoul trapped in a cage. XD
All capes standing by.

Question: will the European players be able to join the crazy wildcard part 2 actions? Thinking about the time difference, since most of the people here live in the US time zones.
3 of team wildcard are European, (if you insist on including Brits in Europe, which we are never so sure about). :)

Whatever Stage 2 is, I'll help with it. If I can.

more stumped trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do with it?

I am ready!
Come on Monday, I need to know what to do!!!
This'll be the first time in months I've been anticipating a Monday in a positive way! Bring on the next step! :)
I am spreading news around on Virtue.
Also I am ready, and so is my body.
Unlike the Boomtown Rats, I *do* like Mondays.
I'm ready to love *this* Monday.
I have a hunch the fun has just begun!
What time you going to announce whatever Stage 2 is? Being in the UK I'm assuming I'm going to have to wait until afternoon/evening this time and morning in America?
Wait, is "Team Wildcard" that thing VV was talking about on the Cape channel where she and someone else are trying to pitch buying CoX to Disney, through Michael Eisner, of all people?
So Monday'll probably be "spam Disney about buying CoX for us."
Intriguing suspense post is intriguing.
I'll check on Monday.

Any prepwork we can do beforehand? Is this a short-term thing for the final week? Does it involve us providing funding? Is there a creepy grinning moon and ocarinas involved?

No grinning moon, no ocarinas, and the duration will be not less than two weeks and not more (I think) than a month. Because in a month we will have a good idea whether it is going to work or not, but we won't have any idea in less than two weeks.

But it's not part of the City of Hero gaming Community. Double so given we are now producing a product and as responsible producers as well as Heroes we need to be above our basic desire to murder, pillage, and plunder.
Games themselves are evolving out of the hunt and kill style. With Deus Ex you are rewarded more for NOT killing. Minecraft about building and surviving. We are also must strive to go beyond th Go, Hunt, Kill Skuls mentality.

This has to get posted on the main forums and spread in game as much as possible once we know whats going on as we only have a few days..
Okay all, I'm blowing away all references to illegal activities, nukes, murder, whatever. I know you're kidding, and I was willing to let it go a little bit, but you've taken it too far. I hate moderating threads, but I'll continue to do so if necessary. I'm not placing blame, I'm not taking sides, I'm talking to everyone. Stop it. No more "We're going to...!!!" posts, no more backlash posts, just stick to the topic.
Make no mistake. CoH will close on the 30th. There is no way we can stop that.
This is a crazy, long-shot, attempt to revive it.
Team Wildcard has been baking our brains on this for most of a week. I know it has stretched all of our abilities to the limit and a little over. We're probably insane to try it--and no, it does not involve any fund-raising on anyone's part, because none of us are venture capitalists or know the first thing about running a game studio.
But if we don't try this, we are all going to be sitting around "what-if"ing ourselves until the heat-death of the universe.
Stay tuned.

You're completely wrong. NCSoft
has to know
exactly how to run a game studio; there's no way that they could be acting so precisely diametrically
opposite to the way a game studio should be run without knowing how to do it
right.
