...is finally done. What I thought would take like, oh, four days, turned into 3 weeks.
The inspiration was the idea of the servers finally shutting down and all that data just... going away.

I set really high expectations, way beyond my skill level with Blender. Like that blasted mofo'ing tornado sequence. I had in my mind a lot of things but I am still proud of what I was able to make.
Also: the song used is "Incarnates" by OminousVoice

Awesome. And the flood of viewers should be pouring through the door any moment now.
I like the minimalistic, artistic style. :)
Nice job. Effective. :D
Very, very powerful...
Closest I've come to tears in the last month...
Very powerful indeed.
I have to ask how you got the models into blender.

Ah yes, this definitely went in the direction I was imagining from the preview. The "dust in the wind" effect gives it a really sad and creepy vibe and the music goes perfectly with it. Bravo!!
I think it is superb! Poignant de-texturing. If you know what City of heroes is supposed to look like, it really hits home. It makes me feel like we are being stripped of our colors, which equate to our virtual identities, by NCsoft who perceives the community as insignificant. Something like that...words...words...even better words.
Thank you, voodoogirl!
Moved me to tears to be honest. ._.
you used the stuff from that thread that used captured data passed to the graphics card, didnt you?
Yep
Still havent figured all that out... wanna keep trying though.
Viewed and shared. Nice job, very powerful.

Rendered using Blender's "Cycles" renderer - but took too long. 13 minutes for this one shot.

A view inside Blender
What I'vr been able to see looks very nice but it keeps timing out about half way through on me. Both yesterday and today...I'll try again when a real computer is available :(
