The Villain Soldiers of Arachnos can only choose from villain patron powers, whereas I believe they can choose from the hero epic pools as well in-game(not certain of this however). Because of this, my widow build which had previously selected one of the hero epics, still has those powers added but they cannot be removed.

You can remove powers by alt+clicking the power bar even if you don't have access to the power pool.
