It's been a bit since the release of Issue 19 and Mids 1.90 and 1.91, and we've now had the I19.5 Strike Pack hit, and people are wondering: where's Mids? Well, it's right here! It took a great deal of time and effort, and a lot of testing, but we've got the Alpha Slot implemented completely - including the Rare and Very Rares from the Strike Pack!
And just to show how sorry we are for keeping you waiting, we've thrown a couple little QoL improvements in there, too. Just read and find out what!
Mids' Hero/Villain Designer v1.920 (http://repo.cohtitan.com/mids_updates/exe/MXDSetup1-920.exe)
Mids' Hero/Villain Designer 1.92 - February 2011New features:
- Introduction of Incarnate Abilities! All of the Alpha Slot abilities are available in the Incarnate button on the top right corner of the Mids screen.
- Drag and Drop reordering of already selected powers! Slot levels will change automatically as necessary. There are a lot of options for this feature; they can be found under a new tab in the Configuration window. (Note: The "Move"/"Shift" method mentioned in the configuration has not yet been implemented.)
- You can now swap two slots' levels by clicking and dragging the slot itself.
- Temp Powers and Accolade powers now have their own buttons at the top, next to the Incarnate button, no longer taking up valuable real estate in the Inherent section (once again, the Inherent section has been reordered)
- A Hero/Villain toggle added at the top right, changing the color of the skin and what accolades are available to the character.
- Export Data Link menu option added to Exports, it copies just the url of the Data Link to your clipboard
Fixes & changes
- Fixed bug causing the automatic scaling to work at an accelerated rate
- PvP Set Bonuses should now appear and apply properly
- Shield Breaker Defense set should now stack properly with other sources of Defense enhancement
- IOs should now max at 50, not 53
- Fixed bug causing the enhancement flip animation to play in the wrong spot
- Recipe viewer now shows non-crafted enhancements on your checklist (like Hami-Os).
- Recipe viewer should now sort in a more OCD manner.
- Recipe Viewer, Temporary Powers, and Accolades windows incorrectly cut off after scrolling a certain distance. They also wouldn't update while dragging the scrollbar.
- Automatic updater should no longer care when a blank or unusual "Start in" path is used.
Known Issues
- Windows Vista and Windows 7 have issues with the updater due to UAC interfering with writing to the Program Files folder. Many of these problems can be resolved by (a) installing as Administrator, (b) running Mids as Administrator, or (c) installing Mids to a different location than the Program Files folder.
- Diminishing Returns for PvP mode have not yet been added, all buffs currently show their full, unmodified values.
- The Power Graphs for the current build do not display effects for pseudo-pet powers like Ice Storm. This does not affect the Powerset Comparison, which is now fully aware of pseudo-pets.
- 60 Month Vet reward button not added. This means taking a Tier 3 travel pool power at level 6 or higher is automatic for everyone. You need to know whether or not you are eligible for this reward or you must take your travel power at level 14 or higher.
Every old build I load says 'LEGACY BUILD' and doesn't show the inherent fitness pool.
When I remove the fitness pool choice the inherents show up but where I haven't taken them as a pool choice, they don't.
What am I missing or do I have to input every single Mids build I've done again? >:(
EDIT:
And export to forum post and then import doesn't import the sets or the sockets.
It's just like how it works in-game: if you still have the fitness pool manually selected, you don't get inherent fitness. Once you remove the fitness pool, inherent fitness will show up.
That doesn't answer the problem I stated.
"When I remove the fitness pool choice the inherents show up but where I haven't taken them as a pool choice, they don't."
If I didn't take Inherent fitness, it just shows Legacy build with no way of adding the pool.
"And export to forum post and then import doesn't import the sets or the sockets."
Importing either data chunk, short or full only imports the powersets and powers taken it does not import the sockets or enhancements.
Is it related to this: http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php/topic,3767.0.html
If so, is there another download which solves this problem?
Duration values aren't changing with domination toggled on and off.
Woops. I didn't read the "read first" post
I just want to express my appreciation to you for doing such an excellent job on this Diellan and to all the other Titan people amazing.
Thank you.

The download is an automatic one in Mids, that'll upgrade the DB from 19.200 to 19.210. That actually should have nothing to do with this...
The Legacy Build icon should only appear if your character has a power from the Fitness Power Pool. Once you remove all powers from the Power Pool, it should go away and you should be granted the Inherent Fitness powers. If this process isn't working, then perhaps you could send us one or two of the builds that do not work so we can figure this out.
Likewise, if you could send us one of the imports that don't load right.

That sounds like some kind of font sizing issue... Do you have non-standard font settings?
i think all font sizes are normal on my win7 havent made changes
i made a screenshot for it:

I've come across an issue with slot placement:
Currently, it is no longer possible to remove enhancement slots; in prior versions a simple double-click would remove them. There appears to be no obvious substitute method or workaround within the UI.
I'm unable to use the update in any meaningful way, as every time I wish to alter slot placements, I effectively have to start from scratch and reslot every power.
I'll be uninstalling v1.920 and rolling back to the previous version for now, until this issue is resolved or a workaround can be found.
Also, is an option to include Alpha slot-amended values in popup displayed enhancement values in the works? It's nice to see the effects upon totals, however, the whole point of this updates' usefulness for me was contrasting individual power performance with different Alpha slotting.

We're already working on a fix for that.

Yes.

Actually, you can hold shift + click to remove slots.
Regarding Fitness and the Legacy Build issue: I'm experiencing this on builds that I've made using Mids 1.90 (or or 1.91, not sure) where inherent Fitness was already implemented and those builds used it normally (not the legacy Fitness pool).
The effect is that I can't see my inherent Fitness slotting. If I select Fitness as one of the pools, all of its powers are displayed in italic red. If I deselect all of them the Legacy Build notice disappears and the inherent Fitness powers appear, but without any slots - the slots that were used in them are wasted and cannot be recovered in any way.
As a result, I have to rebuild all of my builds made with Mids 1.90/1.91 if I want to change my Fitness slotting.
Here's one of the builds affected by this: link (http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/download.php?uc=1414&c=675&a=1350&f=HEX&dc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

Thanks for the build, I see what you mean... It's an odd one and will take a bit of investigation.
