Title: Wrong German Badge Names
Post by: Torben87 on July 19, 2010, 02:53:14 PM
I've noticed that some badges won't get verified because their German names on CIT are not correct. The right German names of them are:

CoH Exploration:
* Wentworth History Buff = Wentworths Geschichtsexperte (for males) / Wentworths Geschichtsexpertin (for females)

CoV Accolades:
* Johnny's Go To Guy/Gal = Johnnys Mann für alle Fälle (for males) / Johnnys Frau für alle Fälle (for females)
* Mad Science Supporter = Unterst"¹tzerin verr"¹ckter Wissenschaft (it's maybe a glitch of the game, but that's what the badge is called for females)

Events:
* Exultant = Frohlocket

Thanks!

Question/clarification.  In my browser, your translation for "Mad Science Supporter" is shows a double quote and a superscript 1 instead of the umlaut that we have currently.  Is that what you were talking about?  Do the males still show up as Unterstützer verrückter Wissenschaft?

The other badges have been updated in our system.  Please let me know if they are working correctly.

Yes, in the game the badge name is displayed with the double quote and the superscript 1. I don't know if the male version shows up as Unterstützer verrückter Wissenschaft.

The other ones now work correctly. Thanks for fixing it that fast.

It still won't get verified.

If I copy and paste it directly from the chat window of the game, that's what appears in here: Unterst¨¹tzerin verr¨¹ckter Wissenschaft

Ok, I put that value in.  Give it another go?

I'm afraid that it still didn't work. I suggest you set the German name on CIT back to Unterstützerin verrückter Wissenschaft (because that's how the badge name should be spelled) and I will report that bug to NCSoft.

Here are some more reports of incorrect badge names:

CoH Exploration:
* Waylon's Observer = Waylons Wächter (for males) / Waylons Wächterin (for females)

CoV Accolades:
* Profiteer = Profitjäger (for males) / Profitjägerin (for females)

Both have been fixed in our system.  Thanks

Waylon's Observer still doesn't work to verify. In German Waylon's is written without the apostrophe (Waylons).

The German name of Profiteer is correct now but also the German name of the CoH Accolade Entrepreneur is Profitjäger/in on CIT, but it must be Unternehmer / Unternehmerin.
