I had 59 yesterday...
Any idea ?
I hope I won't have to go through all the character initialization again
lol, Yea, Steiner broke it (again)
Testing out a new web service for Skip/HS... sadly I used "update" instead of "insert".
Thankfully there are sql backups nightly... just gotta find em.
IT IS NOT APRIL 1st YET!
Not a funny joke, nooooooot funny!
No, not an April's fool joke.
I was told that there was nightly backups, but never shown how to restore said backups. I'd refrain from using HS or Glycerine in the meantime.

May want to put something on the front page saying that if it will be a while until the backups are in place.
Good to know you can fix this, I nearly had a heart attack for a moment! :o
Ya so did I,
And SuckerPunch is the only one who knows how to restore it.

Have you checked under the bed? That's where I always find the things I've lost :P
Seriously, thanks for the warning on the front page and best of luck getting it fixed :)
This also changed the Avys and Sig Items here pertaining to CIT. I have Steiner in my Avy and Sig slots :P.

You
could just change them for now....
Well. Idk, I asked SuckerPunch (the only person who can properly restore) to help and I got an "..." and he closed the chat... so I have no idea what the hell is going on.
I started glycerine and it added my main back...I hope this doesn't cause problems restoring my data.
Shouldn't hurt anything.
Is there any update on this issue?
Yea.
Bad news; sadly the backups were set to backup on SuckerPunch's old machine, which crashed 3 days ago. And he's quite annoyed with me on that front, because this isn't the first time he'd have to save my butt from screw ups like this.
So I don't think we're getting back any of the messed up records.
I know it's pain in the "you know what" but we're going to have to reload all of our characters back on via Glycerine. I know HUGE pain in the duke.
There are measures being taken to ensure these things don't happen again.

My sincerest apologies for this mess up. I swear it won't happen again!
...hoo boy. Well I know what I'll be doing for tonight x_X My biggest regret will be having the date my char was created on site here because it was pretty much the only reminder I had when exactly I rolled a new char.
Is the bug where badge counts were being reported higher than the ingame # fixed?
I don't believe so, I will take a look at it as soon as I have this sorted.
Never mind mate. I bet (hope) it won't happen like that again :o
Oh well just have to log all in again. I might even play that alt I've been ignoring for so long ;)

Okay, cuz I think I'll hold off on going through and doing the settitle thing for my characters until that's sorted.
You can do that, the count is wrong on the site, it will reflect the right count once fixed without you having to do anything extra.

Not entirely true. On most of my toons, the extra badges where accolades that were mis-counted from what appeared to be a settitle offset with the last issue (I13 and the Day Job Accolades). This occurs at the moment of confirmation. As far as I know, confirmed badges will not be auto deleted from the db. I've had to manually delete these each time.
Now I just have to re-load 264 toons, their Badges and photos for my friend in Iraq, and my 115... Maybe I'll just spend a week getting map served on the I14 Beta every 30 minutes (might be funner).
AHHHH crap, Your right. MavX pointed this out to me... I had put some "related badge" logic in our badge admin tool and when Day Jobs were released, they didn't exactly meet the logic causing more badges added than it should.
Emailing Topic to myself to remind me to finish fix this before the day is out.
Wow, you guys are just laying on the guilt... ouch...

Sorry. Was just a little frustrated. Like had been said elsewhere... I'd rather have it than not. I'd have to write the bloody thing myself and my spreadsheet is cumbersome enough as it is.
I can understand your frustration, be securely happy that measures have been taken to avoid this from never happening again. (Though they were taken before this, but as you have it, bad luck + my stupidity = broken CIT)
