Title: Downloading
Post by: aaronk319 on August 15, 2008, 06:46:30 AM
I've downloaded the Mids Hero Designer, but when I try to open it, the window flashes open and closed very rapidly. It's like the screen is flashing, it does this so quickly I can't close the window, I can't even get the computer to reboot. I have to shut off the power to stop it. I have saved the program and tried to open it, I have tried to download and run it, the same thing each time. I am running Vista Home Premium, I haven't had this problem on download before. Can you help me out? What should I do?

Could you clarify something a little pelase: When you download it, it should download as a .zip file. Are you having difficulty opening the Zip file, or in running the install program inside the zip file?

Hmm.. try a 3rd party unzip program, such as WinZip, and see if that opens it okay. I just redownloaded it myself to make sure, and it seems to open fine.

Another good one is IZARC, I swear by that one.  And it's donation supported so it doesn't bug you after 30 days. :P

Are you using IE6?  If so, bad bad bad :P

Try downloading in something more modern, like Firefox 2/3, or even IE7.

I've gotten into the habit of downloading 7zip.
