Title: Badge Verification Request
Post by: Citizen Razor on August 13, 2008, 03:37:40 PM
No matter what I do, I can't get those badges verified by this website.  I'm using HeroStats Unstable 4.3.2.1 but it's not doing anything.  I know there's been some bugs with the /bind files (when I ran the /bind files, I got a whole bunch of Heroes-only badges "verified" even though I didn't have them).   So I figured I'd just post the screen shots here and have somebody manually verify those badges for me. :-)

Toon Name:  Jack Ketch
Server:  Liberty
Character #:  97923

Badges needed to verify:  Rash, Stalwart, Flat

I'm having the same issue with three different badges, Overlord, Politician and Ace.   I also have strange badges that I haven't earned listing as having being verified.  I went as far as to wipe out my badges, grab the new script and try again - it was very consistent. Heh.

I'm going to wait until the Titan Tracker is up and running for badge verification though - I wouldn't trust using an unstable build for total verification via ingame script.  Especially since it's not for this site.  It does seem to pick up on the onsey-twosey ones as they are earned though.

Although, this is just my experience.  I'm sure other people are running just fine.

Actually, the errors probably aren't with HeroStats, they're with my script that processes the data HeroStats (and eventually TNT) sends to the server.

I fixed one particularly bad issue yesterday where a badge like 'Patriot'  would match against 'Numina's Compatriot', and add that instead and never add the right badge in.

If you haven't tried the badge binds since yesterday, give it one more shot and let me know how it goes.  I'm still trying to refine the processing script so your feedback (and patience!) is very much appreciated.

SuckerPunch, you are a programming guru.

I tested again by deleting my character from CIT and just finished updating via HS 4.3.2.1 Unstable and the bind .EXE from the sticky post - and it worked perfect.  ;D

If I were a guru, the mistake never would have been made ;)  But I'm really glad to hear that it works now!

*snort*

You know as well as I do that programming now-a-days is half luck since all the compilers and kernels are written by committee.  ;D  Just because something looks good on paper or in the editor doesn't mean it's gonna work in the real world!  (I write MSIs so I feel your pain somewhat. heheh)

Anyway, good catch and thanks again. I have a list of badges to start workin' on.

Absolutely, but I already gave out the big pink one so I'll have to make something different. :P
