The first companion to the Technical Guide is here... a thoroughly rewritten basic bindfile that replaces the default set with cleaner, more intuitive and more modern keymappings.
I know, there's a billion keybind files, tips, snips, codes and tricks out there. But most date back to Live, not many use newly available commands and options, and none - AFAIK - fix a lot of clumsy and archaic keys dating from gaming limitations of a decade ago.

How many times have you gotten a tell.... and then hit Backspace right after someone else sent you a tell and then you get a 3rd tell, and so on.. and then you go directly to MT hell with your Backspace continually sending messages to all the wrong people, when, all you really wanted to do is continue replying to the person you were talking to.
OK it's not *that* common, but, I bet it's happened to... everyone. Having a hotkey that lets you respond to the person you just responded to solves all that. Nice gem. <3 (there's plenty more, that's just a tiny sample).

There's a ton of cool little bits in this bind set - it's refined from years of tinkering and made consistent, and after laboriously tweaking it for of my four alts (so far), I think all the bugs are out and it should be a smooth slide-in for any player. A full graphic reference sheet is included. Worth a look at the listing even if you don't use the whole replacement set.
I've only actually, you know, played about an hour with the full cleanup. It's really smooth. Hope it's a good fit for current-day players.
Updated with some fixes (damn arrow key bind synonyms!) and the Healer bind addition.
Now running a MM in Praetoria, expect to have an updated pet-control addition soon.
Shenanigunner, thank you for sharing your tech guide and keybinds guide! I'm one of those who created my own version of extensive keybinds in the past (including MM), along with popmenus. I'm going through your binds, expanding mine with your additional items.
Additionally, I have some old TF/iTrial keybind files to be referenced from a popmenu - I didn't create them and don't find right now who did, however they're to help with some very basic targeting/instructions when leading TFs/iTrials. If you'd like to see them, please let me know - the same for the popmenu stuff I've gathered from others.
