As with most free, homebrew, or Free/Libre Open Source Software products, there is no timeline to when the next update will come for Paragon Chat. Are things being worked on? Yes. That's all I can answer, as anything else would be speculation and guesses on my part.
In short, "it's ready when it's ready™".
