Since it touches on all the CW shows, I thought a separate topic would be appropriate.
So ... spoilers and non-spoilers.
Supergirl made the team-up. Her interactions with all the characters were adorable.
Sara
Supergirl
The Flash and Supergirl
All in all, a good episode.
This is making me reread my Invasion comics.
At least they made Supergirl look super, not like Barry, who with super speed should be virtually untouchable yet he gets stomped on all the time.
I really don't watch Supergirl - any reason her heat vision is blue?
I thought Stein's past changed because of what the Legends were doing, mucking about. But now it seems it could have been Barry's fault as well.
And honestly the Legends change the past on a weekly basis just by being there and interacting, yet alone all the people in the past they have killed, injured or maimed.
So they should be the last ones to get on Barry's case.
And that message from the future Barry - is he confessing to Flashpoint after 40 years or did he not learn his lesson and tried yet again to change the past?
Flash's episode in the arc felt very much like a love letter to City of Heroes. It probably wasn't, but for me it still felt like it.
Keep in mind that they're all living in an alternate timeline. Thawne going back and killing Barry's mom created it.
Any one of them would go back and fix that murder to restore their own timeline. But since they're used to the alternate timeline, Barry's a bastard for trying to fix it. Hypocrites.
I really liked Kara's chipper sunny disposition as opposed to the grim'n'gritty feel for the rest of them. Nice contrast. I also loved that she's ridiculously OP compared to most of them. Again, nice contrast.
Heat Wave rules.
Despite the usual dose of ridiculous conversations those were easily the best flash and arrow eps imo.
So what's the plan of the Dominators? Detonate a Gene-bomb to kill the metas?
Great plan to keep the Waverider in reserve to pull them out of their life pod before they get blown up! =)
Love how quickly Ray got a new suit.
Methinks he cried too much about losing it if was that easy to get another.
It was the dwarf star material that was the limiting factor. Until the previous episode, he didn't have any.

Yeah, Ray said he had enough white dwarf star material now to make 100 Atom suits.
That Star Labs warehouse looked familiar.

This really was one of the best crossovers I've ever seen done by a television show.
And they totally set up Ollie, Barry, and Kara as the Trinity of the Arrowverse. :D

That warehouse is the Hall of Justice from Super Friends.
Honestly though - this last part made no sense to me really:
Loved the shout out to 'Superman Returns' when Ray says Kara looks like his cousin. (In case some don't know the actor played Superman in that film).
Plus the return next week of

I liked the shot of the 3 logos. At least now they can use the big red S. Would be fun next time if they use Superman also in a crossover.

I can't have been the only one who said "Meanwhile, in the great halls of the Justice League..." everytime they showed that exterior.

I got the biggest kick out of that.

Even though the movie wasn't that good, I thought he did a great 'Chris Reeve' Superman - even looks a little like him.
Got to feel like demotion for him. From Superman to Atom.
Oh, the obscenities I yelled at my TV when Cisco got off his self-righteous horse...
Presumably with their higher technology, the Dominators have the capacity to detect changes to the timeline?
I'm still a little fuzzy on what future Barry's message was about. Was it supposed to relate to the Invasion crossover? If so, how? How was Barry untrustworthy in this?
They need to stop putting eye black on characters (Citizen Steel, Wild Dog) if they're going to be putting on/taking off their masks in the same scene. It's very distracting to have the makeup keep appearing and disappearing.
Does the gizmo Cisco gave Kara mean that there will be more crossovers and less world ending for Kara and the rest of the DC universe?

On the other hand, he's an actor with a good job; tied in to several related successful prime-time TV series with an enthusiastic fan base, and doesn't have to constantly explain how the next DC universe movie will finally be the good one.
The only thing that beats a steady paycheck is being independently wealthy.
I loved Kara giving Oliver the same look all the viewers give their screens every time he comes out with yet another ridiculously contrived fake conflict starter.

My biggest issue with these series are the greatly exaggerated interpersonal conflicts over their character flaws and communication failures. Sometimes it feels like they're all still in high school. I suppose some level of contrived conflict is unavoidable, so I don't let it stop me from enjoying the shows.

Oliver "Drama" Queen :P
I hate to rain (pun intended) on the victory party, but...
Now that Earth's metas have confirmed themselves to be a threat (by winning the fight), what's to keep the Dominators from returning in force, grabbing a bunch of big rocks from the asteroid belt on their way in, and bombarding Earth from space?
I recognize that some suspension of disbelief is necessary with superhero stories, but that thought's been bugging me.
The Dominators have been confirmed to show up again on Supergirl this season.

I wonder if they will be like the Kromaggs from Sliders: one race that keep hoping between alternate Earths or just the Earth 38 version of them.
I'd like a season finale with them taking on Kara, her cousin, a Daxamite and a couple of Martians.

Perhaps because a time ship might well be the ultimate weapon of mass destruction?

I wonder how encountering the Dominators will change Kara's opinion of her father and his development of anti-alien bio weapons?

I am going to say, raising the steaks in this inter-planetary war is a bad move when your opponents can call in two Kryptonians.

Well it was shown the Kryptonians can be mind controlled, so it could go either way.
