Well small studio (not Sony, Sega or Disney) and an original IP (not Star Wars, Matrix, PotC). I think the article article's narative is even MMOs with a large studio behind it and well know IP can close.

Exactly! The game was active for 8 years. Not many MMO's last even half that long.
