Title: R.I.P. Christopher Lee
Post by: FatherXmas on June 11, 2015, 05:08:21 PM
Sir Christopher Lee passed away Sunday.  Best known recently for his roles as Saruman and Count Dooku but I remember him most from Hammer Horror films and the assassin Scaramanga from the Bond film The Man With the Golden Gun.  He was 93.

And now some of his dulcet tones from his hobby of releasing Christmas Metal albums.  A man of many talents.

One of my favorite performances by Lee was not an on screen appearance, but rather a Voice Over part.

BBC interviewed his some time agent, who said he turned down the Leslie Nielsen part in Airplane, that could have been interesting.

Apparently today is a good(?) day to die, because Ron Moody (Fagin from the old 60s Oliver! film) and Dusty Rhodes (from wrestling) also passed.

Christopher Lee died on Sunday, it was only released today because his wife wanted to tell his relatives first.

Add Robert Chartoff who produced the Rocky films.

Well, technically, Moody died yesterday, so it's not so much today (literally) but today (for announcements).

What day people died also depends on your time zone.
