I'm sure that most people have probably seen this by now, but as there's not a thread for it here that I can see, here it is:

And we do indeed get a lens flare to reintroduce the Falcon :p
I have little hope for episode 7 :( less so after watching this, this, this trailer.
Remember - everyone was stoked for The Phantom Menace when the trailer came out and we all know how that ended.
Great link, but this is better! IMO

I am interested. I like that they've been allegedly using a fair amount of practical effects for critters. But it's hard for me to be optimistic about Star Wars these days.
That trailer showed absolutely nothing to me that is in any way making me excited.
A ridiculous rolly droid with a floaty head? In the desert? Really?
The X Wings are 'upgraded' with sillier, smaller wings that are arranged front to back.
Millenium Falcon no longer has a cool long main engines solid light, but a whole lot of individual ones, with little fins back there, and a square radar to replace the one lost in the Death Star II mishap. Which sort of makes me say it's NOT the Falcon, but some other Corellian freighter.
That saber is... well, I suppose I can see how it'd be useful, but overall, those little blades are weird. And why they 'updated' the saber to have little lightning... I seriously hope it's a feature of JUST that blade... Because in 20 or so years, they didn't 'upgrade' the blades between III and IV, so why would they now? Just a thought, though, not terribly off putting, just... odd looking.
Overall, though, I see nothing exciting. Just "Hey, see our effects? Nifty, huh? And look how we're throwing back to the previous movies! And even a little EU stuff, with the blade! Aren't we doing good?"
Age of Ultron did a fantastic job of showing us enough to make us all giddy with excitement (I assume. I'm hella ready to watch that one, for my part.
So yeah. Nice job, Lucasarts, Bad Robot, Abrams, Disney, whoever, with the effects and design. Looks kinda nice. But now, how about showing some Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, R2, 3PO.. you know.. interacting with the newbies? Get us *excited* for it? And maybe some space shots instead of all this planetary stuff. It's not 'Land Wars', after all.
Thanks!

Good points.
Yet I believe that this is a teaser, so it would be early to expect details.
