As a precaution against Twitch TV being bought and the old videos deleted, I've been downloading the weekly CoH coffee talks.
All has been going well until I got to 17 Oct & 31 Oct. These videos download but I cannot play them with VLC.
I've been using a Firefox add-on, Download Helper, to grab the files.
Has anyone else had any success downloading these two episodes? Would anyone want to recommend a different tool?
I'm satisfied with the quality of the videos that VLC can play although I obviously haven't watched all the downloads all the way through to the end.

Sounds like you were right to copy them.
I think Sekoia might have a copy of them somewhere, I'll ask.
Thanks.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Amazon wipe the Twitch.TV slate clean after they complete the purchase.
I used to enjoy watching them, too.
I thought these were all on their YouTube channel as well. I saved all of those, and every last one of the videos from the official CoH website before it was taken down.
Did the guides get saved anywhere? I know you can't get to them through the forum backup.

most of them are on Youtube :)
I have a copy of all the Twitch, Ustream, and YouTube content that I made during and shortly after the shutdown. Maybe I can eventually upload them to a Titan YouTube channel or something for posterity's sake.

Were those on the main website? If so, head over to:

I was the one who supplied the site's owner (CraZboy), with a lot of the content he was missing when he was setting up the site. It's been a while since I looked through all of my site backup files, however, so I don't remember if those were among them.

This is just awesome. Only I don't see any forums for ATs and the like.
This will give you a better idea of what I was talking about.

But all of the links are going back to the farewell page
I believe he has a limited forum backup, but perhaps those files/links were not among them. You might try posting a new thread specifically about this, asking if anyone has them.
