Title: Badge question
Post by: Shifter on August 14, 2014, 04:11:39 AM
Does anyone know if you could get both the Loyalist and Resistance member badges on a single toon?

Each was earned for a single moral decision, there was nothing preventing you from selecting a Resistance decision after selecting a Loyalist decision, and I'm almost entirely certain that the two badges were defined by separate entries in the table, so there shouldn't have been any reason you couldn't earn both badges.

Praetoria content could not be accessed through Ouroboros.

I guess a better question would have been, can you get all 3 loyalty badges:

I was not sure if Moral High Ground would lock you into a side, or if you could go to the other side to get all 3 after that point.

Yeh, old players could not get the badge. However, if character data is reset, then I'm thinking that starting in prea would give an extra 2-3 badges over the old zones. This is where my questions are coming from, as it's not something I'd want to mess up on as I can't simply go back to Ouro and do it again.

I guess a better question would have been, can you get all 3 loyalty badges:
  • Resistance Member: Choose a Resistance outcome in a moral choice mission.
  • Loyalist: Choose a Loyalist outcome in a moral choice mission.
  • Moral High Ground: Choose Loyalist or Resistance morality five times

I was not sure if Moral High Ground would lock you into a side, or if you could go to the other side to get all 3 after that point.
Moral High Ground would not lock you into a side, so you should have had access to all three badges.

Some of My Praetorians had all three. I don't think it matters what order you do them, either, except that by the time you've done 5 Moral Choices you've just about outleveled Praetoria.

Yes, I had to disable earning experience if I wanted Moral High Ground on my characters, otherwise I would generally outlevel the zones before getting more than 3 of the 5 required moral choices. It is easily possible to get all three, as long as you don't mind choosing the other side once. (I generally saved the alternate choice for last to prevent it from messing up my contacts)

If I recall correctly, you can flashback for red and blue starting badges. If player data reset occurs, it seems like starting in Prea would be the best thing to do if your goal is to achieve the highest possible badge count due to these starting point exclusive badges (assuming that Prea exists in the version they are able to revive). If I'm wrong on this, please let me know.
