I've been reading the whole New Efforts loop and I recalled that I DID use Sentinel+ on all my toons. Then went white as I also remembered my computer crashed and I did a reset and a new install last year. It occurs to me that the program AND all the info I'd faithfully recorded for my many, many toons (and a friend's account, too) was long gone.
I hate to say it, but it's been long enough that I don't recall the power sets of some of my newer, favorite toons...though I have screenshots so that will help if I must rebuild.
Where would this stuff be stored, and what would they be named so I can look for it on my computer? Many thanks.
Same directory as you ran Sentinel+ from IIRC.
The default naming system for each character was:
{Global}.{Server}.{Character Name}.xml
Thanks. I have no Sentinel+ or Sentinel+ folder either inside or outside my City of Heroes folder, I've checked the back up drives I've had, and apparently I didn't copy that on them...too bad, so sad.
I found mine by doing a search for *.xml. It took a little while but all was revealed!
Yes I tried all searches. No go. I guess I was too frenzied by the crash close to a work deadline that I didn't think of Sentinel...I did think of icon, and I have most of my screenshots, but Sentinel wasn't in my City of Heroes folder to transfer over to external drives. Sads.

I am so sorry. I have had this happen enough times that I am pretty paranoid. I have a local backup, a net backup and my most critical stuff is backed up and stored at a separate location. I don't even count optical backup onto Blu-ray. Not sure I trust those a few years down the road.
Well, I have Carbonite, so Sentinel and it's folders/files would have transferred automatically over there, but I think in August 2013 when my Alienware crashed I had forgotten what Sentinel was and why I should save it and when I did the freeze Carbonite it would have saved it, but not more than a month if I didn't restore the files (I think). I was more concerned about my music (not at all about my work), and the old external had burned out at or near that time.
For work I have a passport and flash and I still use Wordperfect because I love it and one of the things I love is the macro to save my doc to 2 drives at once. THAT I've trained myself to do. I have a couple of other externals to check, but I'm pretty sure they won't have it because I forgot what it was....worse is, I can't recall the build of one of my more recent, very strong heroes. Superstrength or willpower? And with invulnerability, I think. I loved him, and have his costume, but I didn't write down his powers and I screenshot a pretty screens without trays. :P So totally my fault.
Yeah, my music files are the ones I have backed up in several places. So much work in making sure the album art is correct, track titles are exact, artist is correct. At a near TB, that is work I don't want to do again.
