To the end of an era, to the birth of another !

Great post Tony, we are all feeling the same about the game, but I bet you feel it more than the others.

Thank you, Tony, for giving us all a little personal corner of the internet. I wouldn't have stayed in the game without ParagonWiki, and I wouldn't have been here even a fraction as long if I hadn't figured out how to edit articles. I've probably put in as much time into ParagonWiki as I have into my day job. It breaks my heart that it may end up a dusty relic of times past.

I'm already planning for the big reunion party when CoH reopens, stronger and better than ever.

Eloquent and moving as ever, Tony.  I didn't know what I was doing back when I started playing CoH... I was only fourteen years old. I probably annoyed A LOT of people.  I remember my friend trying to teach me how to use team chat and I outright refused!  ...But now that I am twenty-one, nothing can quite describe the feelings I have for this community and this game.  It's a venue for thousands of warm memories, playing alongside my brother, my friends and even (though more recently) my boyfriend.  That's all great, and I'm happy I could share an amazing game with amazing people.  But what really stands out (I wish there were a better word or phrase) is how amazing this community is.  I always knew you all were great, it's been pretty obvious.  But I really didn't know how powerful you people could be until I found SaveCoH.  Nothing has inspired me more to fight for something I love.  And for that, I thank you.  I know I wasn't as much help as some of the other more experienced and talented individuals, but I am incredibly, irrevocably, proud to be a part of this.  I would consider myself truly blessed to count ANY of you as my friends.  I know this isn't over, and I for one am not going anywhere.

Thank you, Tony. Thank you for giving us a place. Thank you for giving us hope. Even if we don't succeed, we will not have failed. See you at the end, whatever it may be.

Thank you, Tony, for all your efforts. I only found my way here after Black Friday and am mostly lurking here, but it feels like home. Thank you sooo very much!

Today is D-day, At the moment I'm trying not to cry, without much success.
I love this game, so much!
Not giving up though. Have friends, who don't even play pc games, writing letters. Although my hands are swollen, RA flair-up, will be playing all afternoon, through the evening, till the screen goes black.
Thank all of you guys for all of your efforts to save our beloved game/community! It's so awesome that so many love this game as much as I do!
Can't wait till we meet again playing City of Heroes!

Great post Tony. I'm a long time lurker, occasional poster and that genuinely made me tear up a couple of times. City of Heroes will soon be gone, perhaps for good, but whatever happens we'll all have lots of memories of the game in its prime. Hold onto those as really they're just as important as still being able to set foot in Paragon City in the future.

Keep up the good fight guys, even when all hope is seemingly lost.

Thank you Tony and the rest of the SaveCoH staff for all their efforts, you guys really are an inspiration and trust me when I say this - the industry has taken notice.

Thank you Tony, for all you did: for giving us hope, for keeping us together.

I am not eloquent as many others are on this forum, but I am here doing my duty as hero and I will continu to do so, for that is what I do!

A new era will start and in that era we will brace the coming storm and Save Paragon City. We will fight to save our community!

Thanks Tony for putting these words together...

I'll miss you all terribly, but as you said, this is not the end, just a milestone that will take us to the rebirth of our City !

Blue Storm was my first alt in the City: he will be there at 23:59:59 in AP33 and he will be there as well when our world is reborn !

City of Heroes Lives !

Thirded. I know I haven't been here in awhile but I was trying to finish up one major goal I had in the game and didn't think I ws going to have the time. I finally completed it last night.

Thanks everyone here for all you have done.

I agree with VV: I regret only not having been here for more than... about a year.

TonyV, keep the forum alive. We've got some things to do. And we appreciate all of it. Thank you.

Tony,

A simple "thank you" is insufficient, but I don't otherwise know the words to adequately express my sincere appreciation and admiration for all that you've done, for the leadership you've shown, and for all that you'll no doubt do in the future.

So thank you, and please read into those words a multiverse of positive feelings I can't otherwise figure out how to express.

Weird as it is, I would never have come to the Titan Networks if not for the closure. I am very saddened, mostly for others who love this game and have far more poignant memories with it than I, that it is closing, but I cannot be ungrateful that I have met all of you and had the opportunity to participate in these truly awe-inspiring efforts to save it.

So, TonyV and everybody here at Titan Networks, I want to thank you all for making this a game worth saving, and a community worth preserving.

I have been a member Titan Network since 2008, I want to say thank you to all that have been involved with this site. The tools that have been made available are invaluable. The knowledge in Paragon Wiki has opened the game to me in a whole new way.

I currently have 24 level 50's on Justice Server that will be going into Stasis Sleep tonight with hopes of waking in the future.

I will be here on the boards following and helping the SaveCOH movement as much as I can.

The game may be going away but the community is alive and kicking and I for one cannot walk away from so many wonderful and caring people.

Ditto to this (and the thanks to TonyV and all the others here who have laid this ground work).

TonyV, I actually got misty and just really appreciate that post.
I found myself going "Yea, me too" on many of your recollections, especially remembering being invited to the Lighthouse lounge.
I remember backing Scholarman and bashing around a thread on the official forum called 'Probation and Duress' which first suggested and fleshed out most of the things that ended up happening with 'Going Rogue'.
And I certainly remember AE's introduction and how we had that wonderful tool and the speculation about how it would affect in game....
My fondest memories oddly were in the first three months of live when, as someone who didn't know  alot about the game, I joined an SG on Protector called All-Star Squadron, and Perez Park was such a big deal...
One door closes, another opens.
Thank you for sharing your moment Tony.

Thanks for all that you have done for the community and for me. As a long time casual player I could not have enjoyed this game as much as I did with out the help of the Titan Network. Here's hoping that you finally get to do the upgrades for this site when COH comes back.

Thank you for initiating and spearheading all of this, Tony. And the same to the Titan Network, Team Wildcard, and all the others who have been out in front doing the hard thinking and the heavy lifting. They say the only way to fail is to not try, so regardless of the outcome, it's a guarantee that we haven't failed here.

The Coming Storm is upon us, but we will see each other again. The light always comes back.
I didn't come much to Titan either before the closure announcement (though i was an avid user of the wiki and Mid's wonderful program), but CoH filled almost seven years of my life. You're my family, and I love you all, even those who annoyed me, and those i never met.

Created a Titan account a while ago, before really understanding what this was about (hence my odd ID);  wish I'd been more active  before.

Thanks very much to Tony, the execs, and the leaders in the SaveCoH and PlanZ.  It's been inspiring.

I remain confident all will be well, but I also believe this crisis has brought out the very best in our community. Provided we survive, we will return stronger than ever.
