The music was a bit much.
Every time I see Dr. Suresh from Heroes I instantly think "villain."
Chunk is crunk.
I wonder if this will be the last season...
-
Toward the end of last season, there were rumors that Carlos Valdes was leaving. Then, this season, he's still there, but, in the premiere, they introduce another non-Caucasian, off-the-wall tech genius, who, conveniently, will be hanging around for a few weeks. I'm wondering if Carlos is leaving anyway.

I really have to commend Grant Gustin. After just one or two seasons of playing a role like the Doctor, a superhero, etc., a lot of actors will get impatient with the job, and will want to "get back to doing serious roles". But Gustin seems to be putting as much energy into playing The Flash, and seems to be enjoying it as much, as when he started.

You die, you die in a fire! :p
More seriously I guess I can see it but it made me literally laugh out loud and wake up my cat.
That being said I agree with seeing "Dr. Suresh" but we'll have to see based on what happened in the 2nd episode.

Don't get me wrong.. I laughed, too. Indeed, I love the song itself. But good gravy that moment was almost too cheesy to exist.

Flash cheesy factor is not that far below Legends and that's great. Flash without the cheese is like pizza without the cheese. Despite all the other great ingredients it just doesn't taste right.
Now thanks to your post combined with mine I'm craving pizza with good gravy. Every Thanksgiving I make the leftovers into pizza with gravy instead of tomato sauce.

Amusing little name drop with "Marv Perez"...

I think this season is better than last season in my opinion. At least we don't have to deal with Nora anymore thank god.

it doesn't help that..he did the exact same thing that Suresh did in Heroes.
also..FLASH..AAAAHHHHHHAAAAA

BTW i know several folks gave up on arrow but it's where most of the actual crisis work is getting done. and last couple seasons it's been less terrible than flash, which is faint praise, but still.

King of the impossible! (Brian May guitar riff!)

Honestly, I thought it was done. The end of last season seemed pretty final. I figured all that was left for Arrow was for Ollie to show up in the Crisis.

It's a very abbreviated season. They're setting up Crisis as the series finale.

It hasn't been quite as meh as Arrow has been the past few years. There is no Felicity in it at all so far.

If you like DC cheese, then Legends of Tomorrow is the best of the lot, I'd say.

Legends is just the best in general, Beebo wants hugs!

If you weren't familiar with Hawkgirl I have to assume you completely missed out on the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited animated series. The various Timmverse DC animated series are arguably the best screen versions of the DC Universe.
-
I remember Justice League of America, from, like... the early 70's? And I remember Hawkman in the comics but he was always just kinda there. I can't remember getting any actual Hawkman comics but I might have. I had lots of #1's and worked in my parents fish store after school that was next to a place that sold comic books which I bought many of and I bought (I forget the name of them) books that said how much my books were worth - at the time, they were literally doubling in value for a couple of years or so in a row and then my collection got stolen and I never bought another comic or looked at prices. For my memory (remembering this much about it), this is pretty good.
I'll check out the new (?) Justice League incarnations. Always liked Justice League, although, in the department of cheese, I remember them being pretty ultra cheesy next to the 'real' thing. But still, hey, there wasn't much comic book TV so it was a must see.
I actually don't think about my comics much anymore and so, ya know, ya forget stuff. It's really great having so much good stuff to watch now, though. Go go Netflix.
~~
OK so I IMDB'd Justice League and see a ton more stuff I didn't know about. I did see Aquaman mentioned here, before, for example, but had forgotten about it.
There must have been some major superhero craze that started ~ the time I.. fell in a well. I never remember seeing so much superhero stuff to watch.

I've been having this nagging suspicion, given that this show likes to do this kind of thing, that the Monitor might actually turn out to be the Anti-Monitor - maybe that Barry is vital to stopping the Crisis, so the Anti-Monitor is convincing him that he has to die to stop it, or something like that. I'm not sure how it would work, given Barry's peek into the future, but I still have that fake-Monitor suspicion.
As for Arrow, I gave up on it a season or two ago. I got tired of the melodrama - when Oliver wasn't having relationship problems with Felicity, he was having them with the rest of the team. I can only take so much soap opera.
-
I love how people who aren't me are able to distinguish between these iterations of smallville

It's easy to tell Smallville from the rest. It's the one with Lana Witch and Flash Luthor.

I'm torn on it right now. The Crisis stuff is good but I really hate the future kids. And to think they are probably spinning them off into their own show. It means there could actually be an Arrowverse show I refuse to watch.

Faith. Faith faith faith. Faith?

I'm with you Super. I stop watching Arrow after season 5.

"one of a kind Victoria Vale dress" :D
Apparently she's not a photographer on this Earth.

1) I really don't think that you get the police department's highest honor merely for the diligent performance of your duties - which is all that the public knows that Barry has done..
2) I'd bet big money that the public (and, certainly, the press) cried "Fraud!" and "Nepotism!" when it was revealed that Barry is the captain's adopted son.

In 6x07, when Caitlin administered naproxen sodium to Barry intravenously: did they really think that none of us had heard of it, or that none of us would look it up and find out that it's just the pain medication Aleve? Rookie mistake, guys.
-
Aleve is a brand name of it, but it exists and is used generically for pain relief and fever reduction. Not seeing the mistake...

It is used in injection form but generally for headache or joint problems. I suppose it would be a good fast delivery method for fevers too. At least the reference isn't as bad as Caitlin not knowing what a singularity is.
-
I mean, the real problem is probably the dosage. If he can't get drunk on copious amounts of normal alcohol, then normal doses of many medicines should probably have little to no effect on him.

You actually have a good point there.

Quick, shine that on the direct center of this city map i have up, then the villain's warehouse must be at the center of the image!

Yep, now we can and "maps" to the list of things Hollywood writers don't understand how they work.

Breaking News!: Hartley Sawyer who plays Elongated Man has been fired from The Flash for Season 7.

That's dumb. The tweets mentioned in the article aren't even particularly shocking, much less something to be fired over.

Presumably those were the suitable to print ones.
-
Possibly, but it'd have to be worse than I can imagine for me to be shocked into thinking the people behind this aren't just hypersensitive twits.
-
Worse than you can imagine or worse than you imagine? I clicked the link here and there are way more shown in this link than in the place i initially saw the story. i wasn't surprised from the ones i'd seen that he got fired but seeing all of these i'd have been surprised if he hadn't. They're obviously meant as jokes but he should have known a celebrity can't make those sorts of jokes on a public forum nowadays.
Wondering what they'll do to write him out. They've been hinting at Eclipso, maybe they could just have Sue kill him off panel and they find the body, conveniently not showing his face. Or maybe they'll just have a completely different elongated man not named Ralph Dibney like they're doing with Batwoman.
-
Or keep the character, but have him alter his appearance, which he can do very conveniently.
-
Sure, maybe he has to hide his identity or something. He could use the alias Patrick O'Brian.
-
Just finished catching up with this... what a horrible cliffhanger ending for a terribly unfocused season.
-
For what it's worth, the cliffhanger wasn't planned. They just couldn't shoot any more episodes with production in pandemic shutdown.
