I love blasters. One of the early thrills of the game is just running around with defiance damage boosts and elemental melee attacks and just destroying atlas mobs before they can hit you more than once. I'd remake my main and just start lapping Atlas until everything "con'd gray."
Once my victory lap was over? A whole lot of Sewer instance team-ups. I need my low level SOs! Other content can wait. Crowds! Friends! AoEs! Xp! Bad puns and unexplained dying because you jumped in before the tank!

After I finish crying my eyes out for like an hour I'll go run the Shining Stars arc like half a dozen times. I love that story.

Hellions have terrorized the peaceful citizens of Atlas Park for far too long. Their crimes cannot go unpunished any further.
There are also disturbing rumors of something unusual happening in the sewers. Even though it may take days to wash the stench out of my hair, a Vigilante must make these sacrifices and hard decisions that no one else can or wants to make.

SS/Invul Brute. Solo to 50 in diaper with Hot Pockets, Cokes, and coffee at hand. Cry. Laugh. Bounce up and down in chair. Every trial three times. UG five times. Broadcast Teamspeak 3 server information to everyone CONSTANTLY. Open every other MMO and spam that we're back online. Cry. Laugh. Bounce up and down in chair.

Turn off the phone, ignore the e-mail and sit down for the marathon session of my life. Fall asleep at keyboard with a smile on my face running against a wall somewhere.

Then do ITF, STF, LGTF, etc. if I get my characters back.
Otherwise, level up marathon! Take days off work and lead teams for 3 days straight (with 3 hour sleep breaks) until I get a level 50.

Those TFs depend on if we get instant veteran reward 50s but man I could live with a ground 0 day account and go level 1 to 50 in any way I see fit.
And we need another option in the poll: Making dozens of level 1 toons to save names. I'd gladly name all the names I'd want to save just so Murphy's Law would kick in and people would steal them just so I could get CoX back, but I've already spilled those beans in another thread.

Run through missions to get to Doc Delilah's story arc in Faultline, so I can get Entrusted with the Secret. I always liked Ouroboros, and the portal is exceedingly convenient.

I would probably grab my kids. Recreate my alt ( the first of many that I'll create later) and after soaking in Atlas Park with tears in my eyes. Show my kids what a great game it supposed to be and take it slow. Kids are 4 and 6 respectively so the older one only got a glimpse so that needs changing.

I mean, do I want to forgo creating a %$&* ton of alts? or start sewers and radio? or so all storyline? or just run around like a freak?
I honestly don't know. I'd wager a little bit of everything until I've adjusted its back and learn to pace myself cause well. its been so long. You guys know what I mean.....

I'll probably cry like I did when watching a fan-made video called "City of Heroes - Remains" but then I'll get straight back onto Hells Wing and continue getting those awesome incarnate powerful and more hero TFs. I think I manage to do Positron's TF on this villain who was going rogue.

My first move would be to call in and tell work that I'm going to be unable to come in for a week because a very close relative died and I have to go out of town for the funeral, and then proceed to spend every waking moment playing in any way imaginable. I'll be reveling in the sewer trial with new toons, working on rebuilding old favorites, putzing around with new power combos, spending WAY too much time in the costume creator as always, and eventually I'll settle into just ninja run+sprinting around the entire world to reorient myself to it. I used to know that entire city like the back of my hand, and I intend to again someday soon.

Actually i really wouldn't mind to redo all my leveling and heroes, After all this time i would love it.

1. Sign up for a lifetime subscription (again -- assuming that's possible);
2. Create all my former characters as level 1's, and hopefully get the names they used to have (or originally wanted but couldn't get);
3. Put in for at least one week of vacation, maybe two and just play, play, play, play, play;
4. Get one character (probably Fire/Fire Tanker) up to 50 so I have a character for fund-raising, and to unlock khelds (assuming that's still needed);
5. Make an effort to get my Emp/Psi defender up to 50, since she never got the attention she deserved;
6. Look into joining or starting an effort to make a new client piece that can interface with the existing servers but has more modern graphics (end result: same content, same game mechanics, better-looking graphics).

My first order of action would be to create 1 character of each AT.
Then, I'd seek to rename them what they were before the shut down.
Then, I'd begin play with the character likely to level the fastest.
I would eagerly head to AE for a half hour each day to fund key salvage items for profit.
I would also street sweep for salvage and recipes.
And then I would start badging.

That's the one. It would bring me to tears seeing FF again. Most fun I usually had leveling with Pugs was helping new people beat FF. It was dam hard sometimes but way worth it once you beat him and his pets. Always worth leveling your toon in the outside world (vs AE missions) just for those little moments.

The Orenbega caves were cool! especially the occasional "drip" sound and the magic mushrooms all around. The only problem was they usually had Circle of Thorns mobs in them.

I'd like to think I knew exactly what I would do, but it will probably be totally different from anything I could plan. The only thing for sure would be, using my saved costume/power mod files to quickly create my stable of characters on my chosen server, and then one by one, take them through as much content as time would allow. I want to see, and do everything again!

In all honesty, I will probably start a fire/fire farming tank immediately and stick to it until its max level while ignoring content along the way. I'm derp like that, but I prefer to be able to have money available while casually leveling my precious characters and playing the content I didn't get to before lol I played CoH for a number of years, but lot of stuff I never got to do.

The MINUTE I know of a definite date the game will be back... put in my vacation request for at least 3 to 4 days off.
In game... create all my toons and make sure to grab their names.

I would probably try and re-roll some of my old characters (not ALL of them - just a special few). I'd bounce around like a MANIAC under the globe with everyone at first (I honestly feel like that's what a lot of people would initially start doing - just running around Atlas, meeting up with old friends, being all excited and what-not, etc). Then I'd probably wander over to the Pocket just to see who all was over there, and then I'd get back to the tutorial/Atlas and start getting at those missions like CRAY.
...Dammit, I want this game back.

Rapid self PL to 50, accompanied with remaking my custom AE farm and of course tieing up the chat with inane babblings of mass proportion.
decided to make my controller first a while back after there was a call for support units when the game comes back. after he's done I'll be doing what the first post here said. nothing better than a strong lady to kick ass with, with added language features that could make a sailor cry.

You could always start 'em in atlas :D. As for me, I -think- i'm starting a fire/fire/fire dom...not too sure on that one though.

Rebuild some key characters, also designate one to be the alt that is the badge hunter to seek every badge in game possible. That character would start as Praetorian then after securing all praetorian badges, move to Paragon City and after getting all blueside badges, would change alignments and get all the red badges.
That would only leave anniversary and event badges to obtain as events come around.
The only two badges I don't see anyone getting is Passport and Bug Hunter. unless Bug Hunter is given as a reward to beta testers......

The first CoH video I ever saw was set to Chad Kroeger's "Hero". It was called "Justice", and followed the exploits of a super group as they went about making Paragon city a better place to live. At the time I saw it, there were powers being displayed in awesome cinematic ways, that I had not yet encountered. I was blown away! I always thought that video, and that song were a perfect match. I think I shall have that song on repeat for awhile while re-creating my first hero, and taking him out for some ass kicking goodness! I am sure if that video were made these days, Youtube would block it for copyrighted material. Fortunately, I downloaded a copy of it, and other than showing the game prior to any major changes, it still holds up well, and is just as inspiring.

The first thing I'll do is cry.
Then make what will be my initial main (Thugs/NA mastermind), maybe run a few missions. Then make my farmer, either a elec/fire brute or claws/fire brute. Level my farmer to 50 as quickly as possible. Then slow level my main, while my farmer gets the money and goodies to purple him out. :)

Personally, i'll see if LTS is available(probably won't be), then go about getting a sub immediately , then go get a LTS to champs(not for the forumers there, GOD no, Never for them :gonk:) but for the people actually in the game who were nice :> And I'm tired of paying $15/mo. then getting bored in a month, then dropping, resub..rinse and repeat. I want to just have static gold/split my gaming schedule to 3/4th CoH, 1/4th CO.
I also will do a livestream for both(CoH moreso and first, of course).. But still, both. :P

This. Also, find good friends to enjoy the game with. The lone wolf lifestyle is for me no longer; after all this time of trying to deny it, it's not the game I miss, so much as the game with good people at my side. I'm a community man here on out.

Yeah. But it beats waiting in RV for one to spawn at the station.
Also what was odd is that one of my accounts had some alts i rolled long ago and left them in the tutorial, when I went to start them after the tutorial change they were still in the old tutorial. could still get isolator but I think even though they could talk to Coyote and get the mission they had to do to the mission drop to get past it. I then could select Galaxy City still and ended up in the original galaxy city map.
