Dagnabbit. Now I'll have to watch it just to find a reason to disagree with Vee. ;)
Oh and kudos to them for bringing back 'schway'. Cuz when middle aged nerds made up future teen speak in the late 90s they made it to last.
Waaaaaay better than the first episode of last season ("Oh, Iris is in trouble, let me magically snap out of it and become weirdly over-the-top happy!"). Of course I actually enjoyed the rest of S4 overall more than I was led to expect from the awful reviews, so who knows.
Figures that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree as far as completely screwing up the timeline. Allen speedsters just can't help themselves. Nora seems like exactly what I expected from the teasers in S4.
I just realized that Barry wasn't simply making a lame excuse when he said that they should make sure that Nora's powers were "working correctly" before sending her back. He realized that they might not be able to stop his going missing, and so, if she does need to continue as the city's guardian, she needs to be a fully-capable speedster.
I think Joe must be pregnant irl since they're only ever showing him sitting down this season.
So the theme this season is fathers it seems.
Does Cavanagh have a clause in his contract where he has to play numerous characters? Sheesh. Sherloque is mildly irritating (and seems more like a Hercule).

And pretty much ALL Wellses are mildly irritating.
Guess what I like.

Chili dogs! :DThem, too, of course.
The actual reason is bad. He got a severe back injury during the hiatus. They are going to write him out of the show for the rest of the season. Don't know when that episode is happening but Joe will be gone for most of the season and they are "hoping" he will be recovered for season six.
Man, I'm sorry to hear that. :-\ I kept meaning to check and see if he was sick or injured. Like Vee said, normally when I see an actress portrayed like that my first thought would be "she must be pregnant". Unfortunately, the probable explanations for male actors are less worthy of celebration.
No kidding. For instance the final season of Hercules the Legendary Journeys. They almost completely eliminated the fighting and started doing shows where characters would spend 10 minutes explaining their philosophy. Or alternate universe stories where the characters wound up in a universe where they were actors playing the part (our universe). And all because Kevin Sorbo had a stroke and couldn't stand, got exhausted after just a couple minutes, couldn't hear well, etc...

Grant Gustin had some oddly dark moustache stubble going on in that Rag Doll episode.
He's pregnant too.
Generally, the father thing is cool for me, but I'm getting tired of Nora's lesson of the week.Spoiler for Hidden:
Don't know why she even bothered coming back to the past then.Spoiler for Hidden:
And the lesson of the week is getting tiresome. Honestly, she sucks at being a speedster for the most part. No wonder Iris took away her powers in the future.
Spoiler for Hidden:
Having the original 1990 "The Flash" series on DVD, I immediately recognized that the Flash costume, at the end, is the one from that series. It's probably a copy, since the original was made from some kind of latex, but it's the same design - right down to the too-small white circle and/or oversized lightning bolt on the chest emblem, and the corners on the mask's eyeholes.
Wasn't the original some deeps sea suit or something?
Spoiler for Hidden:
I don't have time for these to come back now, dagnabbit. There's Punisher season 2 and The Grand Tour season 3 coming up, and this anime to finish... blargh.
If only there was some way to watch shows after they have aired..............
That car was pretty silly. The notion that someone specifically would have designed a cans and string icon for when someone mysteriously hijacks the radio struck me as the silliest thing. I think it was a Chevelle, but had it been an Impala the silliest thing might've been that it was named SAM.

The only part that bothered me was they stole the whole cure thing directly almost word for word from X-Men last stand. One meta/mutant saying that it was a great idea for curing mutants who want to be normal. And the closest friend of that mutant ignoring every single thing they know about them and immediately bitching that the cure would be used on everybody. And who is the person who bitches? The one with cold powers.
I like that it's the guy with the power to completely avoid traffic that's griping about how terrible it is to have powers. Oh my life where I could be at any beach, restaurant, etc. in the world and get into any event anywhere for free is so awful because of my powers and totally not because I'm too stupid to use them for anything other than showing up for villain fights that would already be over if my friend weren't also too stupid to use his powers correctly.
I don't recall Cisco every complaining about his powers before.

I thought it was just a general power corrupts thing.
I thought the involuntary vibing was only for other dimensional stuff. But in any event he's been able to control that recently. Also I'm sure we don't know what you're suggesting with those last two examples :P
Yet another instance of 'Arrowverse personality disorder' with. Should really be an entry in the next DSM - subjects exhibit intense, random, irrational reactions to their current situation, defend these reactions vehemently then completely reverse themselves within 20 minutes.Spoiler for Hidden:
It's hardly limited to a few characters though. I stand by my theory that there's a lunatic of the week wheel in the writers' room.
I missed Goldface's ridiculous helmet. Though I liked him and that plot line overall. Too bad the rest of the ep was par for the course.
Didn't seem like a particularly bright move from Iris.
Didn't seem like a particularly bright move from Iris.
And this is the reason why I still hate Iris.
Yeah, she's got all the anti-charisma of Smallville's Lana combined with the worst decision making skills of Arrow's Felicity.
And once again they got <this close> to catching the bad guy and he gets away, again.
I think these season long story arcs can be problematic. Especially when they're hammering at them nearly every episode. They should stay more episodic, and if they're going to have a season arc only a handful of episodes should revolve around it, with a few epilogue scenes here and there to remind us it's going on.
Presumably goldalloyface isn't as catchy.
I have mentioned this on posts in other boards. Barry is fast, really fast. He brought Goldberg half way around the world and back in like 3 seconds.
Once they have Cicada stunned or separated from his power taking away dagger - just super speed him into one of the cells in Star Labs - boom! - no more powers.
Like a few episodes ago - Frost had the dagger held in her cold spell - Cicada was powerless - zoom him into a cell.
Or when he throws the dagger - breach that into a cell to dampen its powers or breach it to Earth 37 or something where Cicada cant get to it.
It appears that there's a rumor going 'round that Carlos Valdes (Cisco/Vibe) may be leaving The Flash after this season - which would explain the new love interest, Cisco's interest in the meta cure, and his suddenly-revealed desire to marry and have kids.
If true, the part that I'll miss the most is his arguments/banter with Harry (although, with Harry's new personality resulting from the mental reconstruction, they're not guaranteed to continue, anyway). Those two were a tremendous lot of fun when they did that.

So now two people get a miserable life thanks to neither of the speedsters just grabbing a hat.
I don't think a hat would've accomplished anything.
How dare you speak ill of hats on a forum offshoot of an mmo.
Are you calling me a maligner of millinery?
If the chapeau fits...
In the episode of Apr. 23rd, the opening argument between Barry and Iris is exactly why I never wanted to be married - being expected to check in with Mommy and get her approval on EVERYthing! Not everything. Something extremely important like this? Absolutely. Barry was basically making decisions that affect everybody for everybody. He had no right to do that. Being married didn't have much to do with it. Not to mention, he basically committed kidnapping and sort of false imprisonment.

Barry is the LAST person to be making these kind of decisions. Didn't he keep secret things he changed during Flashpoint? He finally confessed but still didn't tell them about how things were before he screwed up for quite a while.
And I also believe Thawne is doing this on purpose. His last chance at revenge by turning Barry's only child against him.

He has yet to really learn from these mistakes.

So XS became SX. Killer Frost gave up her range advantage. Stupid arguments were had and decisions made. But the main thing I was focused on was what were those three wheeled cars in the future.
That happened to me on Supergirl a few times.
Aliens vs Humans, whatever don't care. I want to know how Hat guy with no super strength lifted a Million Pound Key with just a pair of techy gloves on.
I was assuming those were like the anti-gravity clamp things used to move heavy objects in Star Trek.
I really have to remember to save the penultimate episode of the season to watch the day before the season finale, so I don't have to WAIT A FULL FRUSTRATING WEEK for the resolution of the cliffhanger!
Its a homage to the last episode of the 2nd season of Blakes 7 and TNG season 3 - both end the episode on people yelling "Fire!"
Here its "Don't Fire!"
Oh hey look.Spoiler for Hidden:
Barry did. But no one listened.
Not only that, they yelled at him for bringing up the idea that Thawne was bad.
And everyone stood in the room and watched her and didn't point out "Hey you know..Thawne is a super evil genius maybe Barry is right on this one."
We have to wait until next season to see Frost's new suit? (I'm not calling her "Killer Frost"; that's a villain name.)
Also, at the end, can anyone tell me what was written/typed on the tab of the file folder that Ralph was starting to read? (I had to watch it online, on a small computer screen, so I couldn't make it out.)
