I'm long since past wanting the
Obelisk Carrier (which doesn't cost Dil at all, but Fleet Modules and Fleet Credits - I have loads of Fleet Credits, but no Modules), since I have my T6
Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier, and I'm working on unlocking its Traits, so there's no rush to get him other T6s right now. In fact, I was kinda over the Obelisk when I bought the
Mirror Vo'Quv Carrier, which has only slightly lower stats but better Hangar pets.
I spent most of today on my Romulan, getting the last few (hundred thousand) ECs I needed to buy a Ship Upgrade from the Exchange, and that really boosted her survivability, thanks to an eleven-thousand-point jump in
the ship's base Hull (and that's before the buffs from my skills, traits, and gear passives). The extra Tac Console slot and the new Traits are nice for the DPS, too. I'll probably eventually get her a T6 Warbird (I'm thinking about
the Jhu'ael, but that can wait. Frankly, getting the Vonph for my Klingon is still a higher priority, though neither is a top priority
Now that I'll finally be able to start seriously playing my Vulcan again, I'll have to start looking at T5-U Science ships for him to replace whatever freebie I get at level 40. (I know you don't have to match ship to career, but it amuses me to do so)
I started another Fed character, a Benzite, but I haven't even gotten him through the first Academy mission yet. I was going to remake my Ferenghi from the Mac version, but changed my mind at the last second. Considering deleting him and making a Gorn instead. (Or not deleting him and making a Gorn as my final character)
The Doff boosting requires spending Dil that .... I don't have. Oh, I *make* a good amount of it, but I trade it for Zen constantly.
I've watched some YouTube videos, but mostly to drool over the Vonph in action. Most of my info I'm getting from the STO Wiki and the STO Builds Reddit. (What I really need to do is consolidate my weapons so that they're all doing the same type of damage, and then equip a Tac Console that boosts that type of damage)
So a sincere thanks for the advice, but I think you're about... two pages too late
