For what it's worth, I had an added complication. When I signed up for the forums, I never got a confirmation email message. Much time later, I found out that one of the developers had been trying to contact me directly via email for quite some time and never received a response - and I never saw any of the email messages they sent. As it turns out my ISP's mail servers decided to flag their email domain as spam and was tossing out their messages without placing them in my spam folder or giving me any indication. I had to give them an alternate email address to use.
