I haven't posted in a couple of months because I had a fall. A bad one, down some stairs onto a concrete flooring. Splat like a melon. Result? Badly fractured skull, subdural hematoma, ripped a major vein in my neck, clotted another, severed some neck muscles, hearing damaged in my left ear because of blood and fluid pooling against the eardrum and minor damage to my wrist and shoulder. It was a close one, to put it mildly, but I had fantastic people working frantically to save me. I had successful surgery to repair the torn vein and now doing physical therapy and occupational therapy. I feel like a scrambled egg, lol.
I've missed y'all. I missed the camaraderie and especially I missed our game home and community. I remain hopeful and confident that Tony and the team will get something going. Thank you for all the work y'all have done to save/resurrect our game. Now to try to catch up on the forums...

Wow...Glad to hear you're doing better, and welcome back! I wish you a complete and total recovery! Best wishes to you, I hope everything goes well for you!
-
OH my gosh, talk about a miracle that you are here! Welcome back....
-
How terrible. But, at least you're still with us. Get well soon.
-
Holy crap, what were you doing? Fetching a pail of water? Glad you made it through and that you're still with us, and hang in there!
-
Ow. Glad to hear you're on the mend. Here's a speedy recovery!
-
This happens sometimes when you try to tank with a defender.
I'm glad you survived it. You seem to have a really good attitude, considering. I hope you have a great recovery and are soon back to playing the violin with the best of them!
-
Yikes! You're one lucky duck!
Here's to a strong and speedy recovery, and welcome back :D
-
Can we call you Humpty now? ;D
Glad that they were able to put you back together again.
-
Wow! You are one fortunate individual. Glad you are doing better. Welcome back.
-
Best wishes on a quick recovery and therapy. And welcome back.
-
Wow, that's terrifying. Glad to hear that you're doing better. Best wishes for a swift and complete recovery.
-
That's an amazing story of recovery! Glad you're still with us, and get well soon!

Don't tell Suzie Palmer that. Watched her tank hami using an emp/ele defender with a stone tank waiting to cover her just in case she failed. She was able to hold the agro until brutes/tanks actually hit the purple blob. Me, Doc Gem, Tanknation, Quiller P, Starborne, and a dozen others of our usual hami raiding party had our lives in her hands.

In my 8 years of playing CoH, I was witness to many amazing deeds performed by classes that weren't "supposed to be able" to accomplish those deeds.
-
Scrapperlocked near a Grav 'Troller, did you? ;)
Sorry to hear of your injury, more seriously. Welcome back and be careful, for goodness' sake!
-
Yowza. It's good to hear that you made it even if you need to take a knee for a bit longer. Now stay out of (further) trouble until we get the game back.
This is why they need to hurry up on developing real life mediporters. Google's Calico project really needs to get crackin'.

as have I. farmer blasters and corruptors. I myself used a fire/kin corruptor for farming +4x8s. tanking defenders. storm/ele and storm/dark common. even a zombie/storm mm doing a better job of tanking than many a tanker I've worked with when being on a emp/whatever got you 3 or more invites before your screen would show your toon's controls.

One of my favorite farmers was my Storm/Ice Defender. ;D

I'm glad to see you back. Here's to a full recovery.
Side note... I thought this was going to be a cool story post. Something about the Skulls... Go. Hunt. Kill Skulls!
But seeing you back is better. :D

Congrats on your emergence from the Lazarus Pit! Yikes.

As someone who's grandfather died falling down stairs while working at his restaurant a few years back(stubborn old man insisted on doing everything himself, right up to the very end...), I must say that you are truly fortunate to have survived such a fall at all.
Hope you get all healed up and back to 100% soon! :)
-
Welcome back! Glad youre okay. Gotta watch out; those stairs can be sneaky little buggers.
Get better soon! ;D
-
Holy smokes!! How did I miss this thread?? I'm glad you're doing better and hope you have a speedy rest of recovery! Get well soon and welcome back!

To reprise something I said on the old COH forums: Durability is the quintessential superpower.
You're a tough one!
-
I would often tell people in-game when asked that I thought REST was the single best power.
